Battery powered sharpener
This is a battery powered knife sharpener. It uses 4 AA batteries. When I read the title of the item, it says “electrical” so I was expecting a cord. For a battery powered sharpener, it does very well. I was able to sharpen several knives with no problem. Only knife I had a problem with was my meat cleaver. The blade is much thicker and wouldn’t go into the knife guide easily so I will just continue to use my manual sharpener on that blade. Other than that, this sharpener is easy to use. With the press of a button, two or three passes and you have a sharp blade. Its small, compact and will fit it a drawer with ease. There is a small compartment that catches any shavings and a little cleaning brush, too. It has a tiny grinding stone wheel inside verses metal wheels for sharpening.

Does not work for all knives
I'm giving this product 4 stars just because if if the blade reaches the sharpening wheel, then it is sharpened well enough. But this is the case for wide enough blades only, that prevent the knife handle from being stuck against the sharpener body. For knives with narrow blades, a certain portion of the blade remains unsharpened, because the handle prevents the blade from reaching the wheel in its entirety. Overall this sharpener is a good idea with a bad design.

Work with limitation!
The electric knife sharpener works fine depend on the knife design. It produces a sharp edge without grinding a lot of metal. You can sharpen knives with a wide blade. The short the blade cannot sharpen the whole length of the blade due to the handle restriction.

Doesn’t take up much room.
I like the fact that it’s very compact. However I wish there was an option to plug it in rather than working only on batteries.

DO NOT BUY, PIECE OF JUNK.
Worst piece of crap I have ever bought. Does not sharpen and if you put any pressure on the knife it completely stops. Piece of junk!!
