It shocks you
The product works, but the problem is that it literally shocks you if you touch it. I don’t know how the circuit is built in inside, but you need to fix the problem ASAP. It shocks with a low power output if you touch the metal.

does what is supposed to do, quality of material is good
I have upgraded to 2017 MBPro that is, unfortunately, missing the original MagSAfe. Among all the different products offered on Amazon, this one seems to have good quality built. It arrived in a nice wooden box that can be re purposed to store other little gadgets.First thing first, the magnet is not as strong as the Apple MagSafe, however, it does do a pretty good job at staying connected while on the couch. Yes it does disconnect a little more often than the original Apple MagSafe but it is what it is, so no need to complain forever. All, in all this gadget allows to restore the sorely missed MagSafe function at an affordable price; the adapter feels heavy built and not cheaply made. The receiver that plugs into the USB-C port is relatively small and the charge kicks in right away. I didn't time it, but i think it charges the laptop at the same time as the original cable does. For those who complain about NOT doing DATA, I am not sure why they would complain as the original MagSafe did not do Data transfer either, so stop comparing apple to oranges. If you need data, go get yourself the Snapnator Pro for $40 and be happy with triple the size of the receiver that sticks out of the case (and be ready to wait a few months as it is not ready from prime time yet).

Weak magnet
I purchased this with the hopes of restoring MagSafe-like functionality to my MacBook, which I've sorely missed. Unfortunately, the magnetic connection is not string enough to hold the charger in place without sitting on a flat surface or being very careful to ensure the power cable doesn't twist or pull. This means this doesn't work on the couch, in a chair or really anywhere but at a desk. Great idea but very poor execution.

Charging only
I have a dock that sends Ethernet signal through the USB-C on my Dell laptop along with power and the internet doesn't work with this plug. Makes sense. There are only like 3 or 4 pins. If you need this for charging only this is a super handy add-on.

Stopped connecting after 2 weeks, might brick your chargers
Worked pretty good for 2 weeks. Then the magnetic force wasn't strong enough to maintain connection. Also might have bricked one of my power adapters, unsure, but unwilling to keep using them on any of my other chargers. Not safe.

Charging works, magnet could be stronger
I use this for a couple of different devices including my cell phone and my X1 carbon. I really can't complain about much except I wish it was slightly stronger in the magnet department. That being said I don't have any problems with it even with the strength that it currently has. Don't I think it will be like a juul pod or like the Apple ones though.

Nothing Crazy Here... Just Works as Expected
Happy with my little device here. The part that stays in the laptop is almost flush, so will work in my laptop bag or backpack. The part that magnetizes to it can stay on my power cord. It charges my MacBook Pro without any issues. Works as expected. Will probably buy a few more for other devices.

Very Helpful
I'm using it on a Spectre x360 to reduce the chance of damage from pulling on the cord. It also eliminates the wear and tear on the connector in the laptop since it's mounted to it all the time. It's very small so it's barely noticed when the cord isn't attached.
