Better than OEM, SEALS ADDED
Better than the OEM. It has extremely easy to follow instructions that are not generic. It is specific to my car.Additionally, the fit was perfect. There is a very soft foam "outline", almost like a weather stripping and an extra different material black seal on the bottom. The material on the bottom is al more if a rubber dense foam. The point is it seals beyond what the OEM.OEM is like a door with no weather stripping. This may cause leaks of small particles to get into the air of the car. This one however traps it.The air now smells crisp and it got rid of any stale air smell that was going on with the original filter.Highly recommend. The air flow actually sounds quiter a bit but same amount of food air flow indicating it is working better now.Amazon said it would fit when plugging in vehicle info on top.Note when installing just be gentle so you don't smash the top part too much, however it seems durable enough to handle minor bending.

I can breathe again!
Perfect fit for my '12 VW Sportwagen. Seems well made, for a filter. Shipping was fast and well packaged and the price was "might nice" compared to the oem version. I replaced my filter after 2 yrs and the oem/original filter had quite a bit of "junk" on the one side but was still clean on the other side. The only downside to replacing the cabin filter is the "actual replacing the cabin filter". It's simple but a PITA especially if you are visually challenged, ie wear glasses, like me. The filter is located under a panel below the glove box in the passenger footwell. My advice, practice your yoga first so you are stretched and flexible. Clear the area of small children so you don't unintentionally increase their 4 letter vocabulary. Search/watch the video's on YOUTUBE with a grain of salt, knowing that it's just not gonna be that easypeasy and then let'r rip! Fingers crossed.BTW, on Amazon it says that the filter does not fit 2012 VW Jetta. Bunk! It fits my '12 VW Sportwagen like a glove. I've noticed that Amazon's "fitment guides" aren't always correct. Read the reviews to see if someone else with your vehicle has done it. Cheers

Fast delivery
Fast delivery, better price than local auto part stores. Filer quality is like in service dealer shop. Easy for installation.

Some carbon, but worked great! Never buying another dealer filter!
I will admit, I was worried when I bought this for my 2005 VW New Jetta (aka 2005.5 Jetta). It's simply too cheap. When I got it, I noticed that some of the internal carbon had escaped the filtration media, and found its way to the outside of the filter. Thankfully, I discovered this was only on the air input side of the filter, so I wasn't going to have little black stuff floating throughout my cabin. The filter has a foam seal on the outside to ensure it's airtight. There's no plastic support used as a frame for the filter, but I don't think the old OEM one had that either. This filter was very easy to install, fit perfectly, and doesn't need a plastic frame. I will continue to buy this filter instead of OEM so that I can afford to keep replacing them on a reasonable schedule. Highly recommended - removed one star for the black powder stuff that leaked on the one side of the filter.

Great price and excellent flow, 2005.5/2006 Jetta TDI
My God I cannot say what a difference this filter made. I received the car and did the normal service on anything and everything that could be done to include filters etc. except for this. Figured there may be an issue with the fan system not blowing that hard and maybe going out, until I changed this filter and boy it was a night and day difference. And felt like there was a jet blowing air on me once I swap this filter out. Car smells much better and the unit is very sturdy and well worth the price. Will definitely buy again if and when the time comes.

Fits 2014 Jetta 1.8 turbo
Amazon keeps saying it does not fit my car but I just installed it and it fits like a glove. It is just a tiny bit complicated to replace but that’s because of the positioning. The steps are simple to follow.

Impressed
I try to stick with OEM, but lately it is impossible to guarantee actual OEM online. The only way to guarantee OEM is to go to the dealer. Because my nearest VW dealer is 130 miles away, I've been experimenting with high quality aftermarket when ordering online. I saw this was made in Taiwan, and I've found that anything manufactured in Taiwan is more consistently high quality than German made items, so I thought I'd give this a try. In short, this filter is actually higher quality than the original that came with the car. No BS. It has little foam strips around the outside that seal far better than the original. It is very well made, obviously nicer than OEM.My only complaint is that it is a carbon impregnated filter. I prefer plain paper as the airflow seems, in general, (in my opinion), to be lessened by the carbon impregnation. I'm not sure if the original that came with the car is also carbon impregnated, it looks light it might be but hard to tell after 50,000 miles of gunk covering it.

Works perfectly; Install instructions slightly wrong
Works great. Fits perfectly and my air smells much better. I like that it's charcoal treated and priced to sell. One note: the procedure to install it was a bit different on my Jetta Mk5 2.5 liter than on the instructions included. The difference was that I had to remove two screws PRIOR to removing the foam pad. Also the cover for the air filter box came off by sliding towards the passenger door. This includes the foam strip all the way around. Even the OEM one didn't have that. Works great. I'll be buying this again.
