First of all the scent (The Lavender) does not bother me at all. Second, when lathering, I really was hoping for my hair turn to turn out soft, or I was expecting my hair to be soft. But it did not happen. I do not know whether because I used a regular shampoo prior before using this Organic shampoo. But it seem to leave my hair "squeaky" clean, which is similar to the shampoo that I am using now. So I was really expecting this to be different. I'm going to try it again, but overall, It's not really something I fancy. I am trying to be lenient here so that is why I am giving it a 3 out 5. But like I said, I am going to try it again, and if it is the same result as my first try, then I might lower this rating.Edit: 12/8/2013So I tried the shampoo alone and the result is the same. I don't think my hair likes this product at all. It does not leave it soft but clean I guess. I don't think I would buy this product again. However, it does lather pretty nice when applying to hair the first time, which I have not experienced the first time. I will lower my rating to 2/5 due to it not really doing to my hair. I have experienced more softness and cleanliness together with other products (but most of them were not sulfate free, but I try other organic product. This was my first organic product and it was disappointing, but not major. I am still learning what benefits my hair and what does not so trying this did not hurt.

the first time I used it I felt like I have rubbed oil into my hair, the hair was sticky and greasy, and cannot be rinsed with the water. then I tried to blow dry and make some curls with the curling iron I usually use and the curls didn't stay! every time I brushed or touched my hair - it left oily filling in my hands and comb and I had to wash it away with soap. The hair feels sticky, looks dirty and greasy. Never recommend this shampoo, I had to buy regular one to wash all this oily stickiness away. Waste of money.

This is an amazing shampoo. It left my hair feeling soft and moisturized. I love the fact it has organic ingredients and is DEA free. Overall a fantastic product and I highly recommend you give it a try.
