Nice utility magnifier at a nice price
I'm a hobby beekeeper and I needed a rugged magnifier for outdoor use when inspecting my hives. This one is very well suited to the job. It has the level of magnification needed and it's got a well-designed handle that is easy to grip when wearing leather gloves. Plus it fits nicely into the pocket of my bee suit. Handy for letting my grandson look at tiny things too. He's fascinated!

Say So Long To Squinting With This Great Quality Magnifying Glass!
If a day goes by that I'm not squinting through a pair of reading glasses, trying to make out something written in a type size that would take the Hubble to read - I don't remember. When trying to read the model number inside my eye glasses and was only able to make out a blur, at least I think it was a blur, I checked out magnifying glasses on Amazon and thought this would be right at home on my desk.I wasn't expecting to be impressed but I was and am. It may not be "optical quality" glass but it's heavy, scratch resistant and most importantly - crystal clear with no distortion. The glass comes in it's own box with a protective plastic sleeve, a nice thing to keep over the glass when not in use. If you're looking for a magnifying glass at this magnification you'll be hard pressed to find a better deal, not at this give away price.Highly Recommended.

Decent Product For the Visually Impaired
The magnifying glass I ordered seems pretty clear edge to edge and it does a good job. The light weight makes it nice when you have to hold it up for a while. After using it a bit, I like it pretty well. My only negative is that it does seem to pick up a bit of back glare if you aren't very careful how you hold it in relation to a light source. I will need to get a bigger lens size when I need more help reading a book or magazine article but for spot work this thing is really good.

this is a fantastic low-strength magnifying glass.
this item is made really well with strong heavy weight soft rubber. it has just enough magnifying strength to help me, a 73-yr-old female with glaucoma, read the small print on over-the-counter supplements, and prescription bottles. it seems like i'm always picking it up to use for something in the kitchen area. i've gotten where i keep it on the kitchen counter, between the kitchen and the living area. i'm going to buy more to give as gifts for different occasions for all the different ages in my "village" of friends.

A magnifying glass that is so helpful!
I keep this in my junk/utility drawer in the kitchen so it’s always available, as I use it ALL THE TIME! I have 20/20 vision, but this day & time a lot of products are putting a lot of important info on their packaging in print that is illegible without some help! Or they are also printing in colors against other colors that make it hard to decipher. This has been a lifesaver & is quite handy to have around! Glad I got it!

8x magnification is basically fraudulent marketing
All these magnifying glasses basically magnify at about 2x. That's all they're capable of. They're not microscopes. It's built well and works fine, but don't be under any notion that this magnifies things 8x. That's wildly inaccurate.

Get 1 for your purse or toolbox, and 1 for artbox
I made the mistake of only getting 1, and have rectified that by ordering a 2nd, while my sis is also ordering a couple. It's got a lovely clear lens, is large enough to hold easily and read a large area, or to use when sketching or coloring fine detail. I can see the rubber handle may spare my hand a lot of fatigue, but I can also see it liking to hang on to dust, so I keep mine in a zipper top baggie, and will make a case for it when I've got the time. I don't foresee many days when it doesn't get used, either for art or reading labels. This would also make a good gift to us people who wear glasses and are prone to eye strain.

Solidly built.
I like the face that this magnifier is solidly built. 3" lens that's nice and clear, with no distortion. It doesn't magnify a lot, but it's been enough to see what I need to see when reviewing architectural systems drawings, and has eliminated the strain of trying to decipher symbols that are just a little too small to read without some help. The yellow helps find it when it gets covered up, but I wish it was available in a more retro/classic type finish...
