What's not to like.
(I have a review posted in both Left/Right products)These are pre-sprung, struts. We had a shop install them as I'm getting too old to climb around under a car. We had the rears replaced at the same time. The price of the struts with the springs was the same price the shop would have charged for a set of struts, without new springs attached. Cost to have the shop replace all four shocks, for those who care, we paid $352.00 in labor. To have the front and rear wheels aligned, all four tires rotated and high speed balanced, the shop wants $135.00.The set of shocks was installed on a 2007, Pontiac, G5 which has 65k miles on the odometer. The car was getting sloppy in the mountains, making me look like a worse driver then I really am. I'm not the best driver in the world but I'm far from being the driver the old shocks made me seem. Immediately upon getting back on the road with these new struts, with a set of standard Sensa-Trac shocks in the rear, even when going down a straight stretch of road, one could feel the difference in how the vehicle was responding to the surface of the road. BIG difference in handling.Fast two day delivery; Amazon, Prime. The struts had a Monroe sticker on them. I went to the Monroe website and used their search engine to verify which shocks were the right shocks for our car and then entered the Monroe supplied part numbers into Amazon's search engine.FYI (I didn't know this) the struts are left and right sided so be sure to purchase a left and right shock. The rear shocks don't have this concern.Over all, other then the heavy price paid to have the shocks replaced (ouch!), these struts are an excellent "MONROE" product, at an excellent delivered price and I wouldn't hesitate to order more or encourage family/friends to buy these shocks as stock replacement shocks.

GREAT PRODUCT and PRICE
If you want to get your wheels back to touching the ground all the time, these are all you need! Don't let the shop overcharge you by rebuilding your units. While I have replaced these on two cars, the last time was the easiest since I used air tools this time. You can do it with simple hand tools but the nuts are all LOCK NUTS and that requires effort on all of the threaded portions. Two hours tops to replace these with air: jack up and put on stand; remove wheel, brake sensor cable, remove two large nuts and pound bolts out, using nuts to keep threads intact; bolts on bottom; remove nut on stabilizer bar link then remove top three nuts under hood and strut assembly is ready to remove. Reverse process and repeat.NOTE: While you are this far, replace the stabilizer bar bushings to take the annoying "Clunk" when you drive over small bumps (like the end of my driveway). You'll have to order them, but you already have the car up and wheels off, just remember to TAPE ON your socket when removing the rear bolt thru the frame, oh yeah, there is a nut on top to hold too. When you find out there is a retaining production washer holding the bolt up, screwdriver it off or hold it and screw it off.

07' Cobalt Great Replacement
Works as a perfect stock replacement in my 2007 cobalt. I bought both sides so this review will appear on both parts. It took me and my father in law approximately 45 minutes to do both sides and had a significant effect on the steering and controllability of the car. This was after the bearing plate on the drivers side started grinding and making terrible sounds. I got a quote from local places that exceeded $800 and would take up to 2 days. I chose to do it our selves and it only took a small amount of time and elbow grease. Without air tools, this job would probably take 90 minutes if your car isn't too rusted. we also replaced the stabilizer links with this repair since it was easier to get to and we could take the link out with the old strut. This is better than the factory in terms of the feel and quality. I got it in two days and it was a lot cheaper. It seemed more appropriate for us to replace the whole assembly instead of just the plate because of the risk of spring compressors and the inevitability of the struts to leak.

Easy to install, very good value
I got the set of front struts to replace the original struts in a 2009 Pontiac G5. The failure mode in one of the original struts was a clunk noise due to a worn spring spacer (90k miles in the car when the noise started). These Monroe struts were a third of what the dealer wanted to charge for a pair of "original" Delco struts. Installation is very simple, you just need a jack, a couple of hours, standard tools (metric sockets and wrenches) and a friend to help you supporting the strut while you tight the bolts.Be aware that despite the struts fitting perfectly fine in the vehicle the wire diameter of the coil spring is thinner than in the factory installed springs. The functionality is the same, it just changes the response of the suspension a little bit. The average driver should notice no change. The reviews that state the vehicle rides "better" than when new after installing the struts are purely emotional. Better is relative in this case. The picky and ultra-sensitive driver may notice a slightly softer suspension, which is good for cruising but not for cornering. If you want to maintain a more sporty suspension then buy the Delcos, at a significantly higher extra cost.

Solid replacement for HHR
My shocks were shot, by the time (and additional cost) it would take to replace the shock and get it out of the strut assembly I decided to buy the whole assembly. Price here at Amazon was far cheaper than a brick and mortar auto parts store. Fairly quick and easy replacement, and definitely restored the ride quality and no issues after over 1 year

Good part. Very easy to install. Great purchase!
Nothing bad about these! I was stationed in Guam and needed some parts. They were much cheaper buying them here than the auto parts store in Guam. Thanks Amazon for selling car parts! It helps us overseas service members save a few dollars on already expensive car repairs.I received them quickly and they were very easy to install. These solved the front end rattle i was having in my Chevy Cobalt. Great purchase.

Perfect fit! Fast install!
Received this item super fast. Was a perfect fit for my 2007 Pontiac G5 (front right). My mechanic was able to install it in less than an hour. Would've given 5 stars but the box was already ripped opened upon arrival, which was quite concerning. Thankfully, all the parts and instructions were still present.

You will never beat this price.
This is the best price you'll get on these MacPherson struts anywhere in Canada. Even with discounts from Canadian Tire, you won't even get close to this price. They arrived on time with a small scratch or two. Who cares, they are shocks, they can take it. These are brand new with all the bits and bobs needed for install. The only bolt they don't come with is the bolts to attach it to the steering knuckle.
