Great secret Santa gift

I was very happy to find Joseph Catimbang and can't wait for further books. Comparison with Kerby Rosanes is logical I suppose but I find the images in Mythographic more sophisticated, quite intricate and clever.A previous reviewer commented all the images were the same and all you use is green. I disagree.I will say that yes there are a lot of leaves and florals intertwined in the images but there are so many colors other than green you can use in leaves even if you do want them to be realistic, and by the way there's no law that says anything in a color book has to be realistic :)Imagination and experimentation are wonderful things and this book encourages me to experiment with color so it's a solid 5* for me.

I love the artwork in this book. Do not be put off by comment about using green pencils, leaves and foliage are different colours during a year! Just think about the shades of plants and trees in Autumn!!! This book is packed with beautiful drawings and all are printed in a frame so you do not have to worry about the spine getting in the way. Paper is thick and white. I look forward to the new book which will be available soon.
