Egg Skelter 24 - Cream for Small to Medium Eggs

Since eggs aren't perfectly round, I knew there may be some problems with the eggs descending in the spiral. Many people held this against the Skelter, but it doesn't bother me. I just nudge the eggs when I remove some, and they slowing work their way down into place. I had used a wire basket, but even keeping my eyes on which eggs to use first didn't keep others in the family from getting them mixed up. Yes, sometimes it's not a perfect holder, but it has made it easier for me to use the older eggs, first. It looks great on the counter, too.

Had been using a plastic egg bin, then a ceramic "egg carton" but this is much better and I can keep them organized by age. I got the one for bantam to medium eggs and it is perfect for the size eggs my hens produce.
