The media could not be loaded. I've tried all sorts of dog lights & light-up collars over the years. Many are not waterproof, have visibility issues of simply break after a few uses. I've got a whippet who likes to run and while his recall is good, I wanted to be able to see him when he was hundreds of meters away, so took the plunge on the Orbiloc.Let start off with the pros:Pro - It's very bright, too bright if you look right at it. Mounted on a harness when walking on lead, it can shine in your eyes and dazzle you. In the photo, you can see how bright it is at dusk, viewed head-on.Pro - Pretty good side-on visibility, although brightest when viewed head-on (See photo)Pro - Bright enough that it usually reflects off the surroundings, even if the light is facing away from you. If it's pointing directly away, across an open field, then you won't see it, however. But I've seen it reflecting off trees, bushes, grass, etc. (See video)Pro - Very sturdy & waterproof. My dog does go out in heavy rain and has been known to run through water, which has stopped other lights working.Pro - Seems to have a very sturdy attachment system, although even on my dog's 40mm wide martingale, I had to have the band on the smallest setting, so might be loose on smaller collars.Cons - It is somewhat directional. If your dog stood still and had the light facing away in an open area, you may not see it. However, my dog does not stay still for long and it will often point at the ground, in which case, the reflected light is easy to see.Cons - uses lithium CR2032 Coin cells. I'd like to see this available as a rechargeable unit, but I guess that would affect the ability to change mounts, etc.Cons - The switch is very stiff. While this does mean it's highly unlikely to be accidently turned off, it can be awkward to turn on, with cold fingers! This is a very minor point.Cons - Quite weighty, it will probably cause the collar to rotate and the light to point at the ground. I actually find this to be OK though as the light is so bright, it reflects off the ground, but something to be aware of.Overall, i'm really pleased with this light. I choose the Turquoise colour, as it's not a colour generally seen, so makes him more visible to traffic, etc. I tend to have it on slow flash, rather than constant, to preserve the battery life, but it also seems to be more eye-catching, as it's very strobe-like. I've mounted it both on a harness and collar, to see if there was much difference.On the harness it was pointing upwards and slightly backwards. This gave quite good visibility, even from the side, but the light was blocked if my dog was coming towards me. I had to turn the light off when putting him on the lead, as it was flashing right into my eyes! Mounted on the collar, it tended to point to one side, but that's because there's a GPS tracker on his collar, too, and that is heavier. I could generally still see some reflected light, even if he was side-on, with the light facing away, as it was pointing slightly downwards. I suspect on most collars, it would end up underneath the neck, so would give a good reflection off the ground.For optimum visibility, I would go for two of these lights, mounted either on opposite sides of the collar, or on opposite sides of a harness, but I really haven't "lost" my dog in the dark for long enough to warrant that sort of outlay! Maybe if I regularly walked in woods, rather than a very large open field, it might be worth it.

The light is great for dogs that enjoy being outside and in the woodlands, fields and streams. It is really easy to spot our dog when he is wandering through the woods and it’s compact easy to use size means he is not bothered by it.

My dog is an Aussie shepherd and has relatively longer coat, so this light doesn't work well on him. Still useful but others in the park have much more impressive ones!

The attachment rubber is extremely secure.The light is bright and can be seen from a good distance.The battery does actually last for at least as long as in the description. I got mine about 15months ago and I've just come on here to get a new battery and realised they sell a service kit that includes a gasket to keep it totally waterproof.The waterproofing is 100% effective my dog always has it attached to his collar and is in the water every day and the light works just aswell as the day I got it.In all a great product and I would highly recommend it.

Despite some of the reviews, this is currently the best dog light I have purchased. Similar to the ones made by Ezydog, however with a small dog the light needs to be in proportion. Ezydog make a small light which is pathetic in terms of light output. They then do one the same size as this, giving off good light but is very bulky, the domed top stands very tall. Orbiloc have the best of both. It's a nice size, but also very thin so it doesn't look out of place. The switch is much easier to use as it's not a case of tightening the top dome, it has a rotation ring below that allows access to flash as well as steady on. Again with the ezydog light you have to open it and rotate the batteries for different modes, which isn't ideal for a quick change. Fitted to the harness using the velcro supplied and tucked back in to hide the end, to prevent it catching. Lovely light. I purchased the clear one as with all lights, it will give the most output.

My dog went everywhere with this on he’s been through bushes woods rivers and lakes. It never let us down shone throughout. How ever, the securing it to him wasn’t easy. Its large rubber fixing band was too big for his harness so eventually it got caught and came off in the woods. Was a shame and i can’t get another because he’ll loose it.

My hopes were high at this price point but I’m left wanting… Firstly it’s a right royal pain in the chuff to turn on/off when fry, even worse when wet! Worse than that there is next to no sideways lighting! It’s super bright if you’re standing above it looking down but a total waste of time on top of a Dog Harness! I guess if I bought one for each side, one for the front and 9ne for the back I’d be able to see the Dog but why would I do that….In summary very disappointing indeed! It’s now in the kitchen drawer and I’ve bought a Ruffwear Light instead !

The media could not be loaded. J'ai acheté cette lampe en octobre 2023 pour mon chien, car la nuit tombe vite en montagne, et elle est super ! Résistante à l'eau, accroche hyper solide, pile qui dure largement plus d'un an (je n'ai toujours pas changé celle d'origine en août 2024), et surtout, la luminosité est incroyable !La lampe éclaire vraiment très très bien, ce qui est parfait pour garder un visuel sur mon chien lorsqu'il fait sombre ou encore nuit, comme on peut le voir sur la photo et la vidéo que j'ai prises à la tombée de la nuit dans un chemin en forêt.

J’en ai acheté deux et jusqu’à présent je suis très content du produit.Très bonne visibilité et consommation de la batterie correcte.De ce problème que j’ai rencontré, et que le clapet qui verrouille l’arrière du système s’est légèrement dévissé ce qui a rendu inutilisable l’une des lampes.Mais le support du fabricant m’a immédiatement répondu et recommandé de resserrer ce clapet avec les outils fourni.Cela a marché immédiatement
