Good idea that doesn't work
I bought these some time ago as our area (near Upton Upon Severn) is prone to flooding.Well the waters rose during the week and so we deployed these bags in front of two back doors and the front door. All went well for a day or so, then those in front of the back doors just floated away- despite being several deep. They didn't seal too well either - lots of little fountains and adjusting them didn't help.Never mind. The doors were actually holding the water out and the pump was keeping the level down by about 20 cm. Then suddenly in the middle of the night there was a great WHOOSH and all the floodsax in front of the front door gave way despite tight packing and a wooden baton. I had to keep the front door slightly ajar to allow the pipe from the pump to exit. Despite a large rock holding the door against the bags a tidal wave came in and the water rapidly rose up, ruining furniture, cooker, washing and drying machines, fridge, freezers, dishwasher etc. Attempts to rebuild the wall were futile because the sax had become slippery and just slid over each other no matter what I did, and floated away uselessly.I can see that these might be useful in certain circumstances where they can be tightly constrained (and not float away), however, in future I am going to keep a large stock of nice, heavy sandbags.

Failure
Look good and sounds a great idea, felt safe that we had them for just in case...Then the flooding started, put a huge sheet of polythene in front of the door and stacked the Floodsax ....great, no water in the house...until ......they floated away and water gushed in up to two foot of water... The same with the ones at the back of the house...now, if they had been strapped together to prevent them floating off...they would have been fine, much better than sandbags which ok they are cheap but heavy and dirty when wet...really disappointed in what is a brilliant idea....
