This was easy to install on the wall studs and doesn't move at all even when my heaviest cat launches onto it. It's the favorite of my smallest cat, Clive, shown in the picture. He is three years old but very small, not much larger than an older kitten, so make your own judgments about the size of the shelf. My larger cats fit on it well too.Just make sure to pay attention to the directions re: installing the screw caps. I didn't and couldn't get them on after I put it up. It doesn't matter because the screws are an attractive metal color and I don't think it detracts. But do read the directions carefully.

Just received 3 of the cat shelves in the grey. They are beautifully made with quality wood and carpet. I have looked at many different shelves in different price ranges. These were the most expensive, but also the most attractive. If you are going to hang something on the walls of your home, you do not want something ugly. The shelves match my decor and look amazing! They also came with clear instructions and tools. Our cats love them. Highly recommend. You get what you pay for.

Purchased two grey shelves and very pleased with the quality, weight, and ease of installation. This is a quality product, and even grey caps are provided for the exposed screw heads. We installed both shelves on one wall using the included drywall screws. We did place a thin piece of wood on the other side of the wall (unfinished space) screwing through that as well as the drywall to keep the screws from pulling out. These are made for 16 inch on center studs. Pricey, but glad we got them--our feline is very happy she has a wall to herself!

The media could not be loaded.  Great sturdy wall mount. Took cat a couple weeks for him to make it “his idea” to use it. Had to redrill holes so I could fit it next to some other stuff but worked out fine. He loves it now - attached video - and he’s off my desk while I’m working, but still close by :-).
