I've always preferred wired over wireless when possible but I decided to try this adapter as it promised speeds comparable to a wired connection. To my surprise it does indeed have close to the same speed as a connection with an Ethernet cable! The first 4 photos I've uploaded show how well packed the adapter is shipped as well as where I connected it in my desktop tower. The last 2 photos are a comparison of a wired connection and a wireless connection using the adapter. They are very close to one another! I am moving soon and I'm not sure if at the new place I will be able to have my desktop close to my router / modem setup so I will probably be using this adapter and I'm glad to see that I will not lose that much of the bandwidth. I highly recommend it for any one with the same doubts I had before about wired vs wireless!

Was super excited to give this a try anytime I go upstairs my Wi-Fi is horrible and it’s fine on the lower level but the upper level of our house it’s just terrible about plugging this in right away any part of it was so easy to use I love it

After I moved I don't have a wired connection to the PC in my media center so have been using a USB wireless adapter. It just has one antenna and occasionally freezes and loses the connection. The antenna wasn't positioned very well off the back of the computer in the media cabinet so when I saw this one with 2 antennas that were separated out by a wire, I wanted to try it. It works great and so far I haven't had any more issues with losing the connection. I can position the antenna in an open space and it gives a lot more flexibility to position it for the best signal strength. It also works without the extension and will plug into a USB slot.

This appeared to be exactly what I wished for. I use my laptops in hotels with weak WiFi all too often. This really stepped up the strength! For a while. Then it became intermittent and started disconnecting. I couldn't figure it out. I unplugged it several times. After a few minutes, I'd plug it in and it would work great again. For a while. One of the times I disconnected it, I touched the metal USB plug that goes inside the laptop port and nearly burnt my fingers. It was far too hot to touch. I really don't need my laptop to work as a heat sink and add heat internally where there shouldn't be any! I don't know if my product is defective or if this is normal. I plan to return it and now I don't trust these devices. Where is the heat supposed to go on this type of design? Not much metal except for the USB plug itself and no vents. It also disconnected when using the cord/stand as well after a while but at least I didn't have to worry about it damaging my laptop. Perhaps too much power for the thermal design capabilities to dissipate? Owned about 2 hours and gave up...

Worked perfectly for two days but was acting up all day today. I finally managed to get it to establish a connection but I can only load certain web pages.It's plugged into the back of my desktop in a USB3.0 port with the appropriate driver installed & it recognizes the device and claims it has a connection but still causing some connection issues.This review doesn't need to be posted but I don't want the one star review to post until I determine what the issue might be and hear a response from the seller.

This is a good USB Wifi adapter. Setup is simple, and operation is great. I like the stand for ease of placement.And compatible with Windows all the way back to 98.

The product was easy to install and once up and running it has surprised the performance of my prior unit. I recommend this to anyone that need an plugin WiFi Adapter. I cannot speak to its total range, but it does go through one wall in my place without an hiccup.

I plugged it in, downloaded the software because I don't have CD drive, started using immediately. Faster, and better performance immediately. I live in my RV, and RV parks have terrible WiFi. This is helping a lot.

My only caveat is that even though my system is set to connect automatically to my wifi, about half the time it doesn't at startup and I have to manually reconnect. But it could be a registry problem in Windows (and we know that never happens...)

Loaded the drivers and installed easily it in a few minutes. Excellent WiFi signal and coverage.From my perspective (don't use it for gaming) I would strongly recommend this adapter!

I was having problems with my new Blue Curve until I installed this big antenna which works very well. I now get close to Shaw's advertised speed thanks to this WiFi Antenna.
