Kingsdown Vintage Synchrony Mattress, King, Natural Off White

It was time to replace my old foam mattress, affectionately named SpongeBob, that I believed was making me wake up stiff with back pain. A stay at the Palazzo in Las Vegas made me realize that my problem was, indeed, my mattress, because the pain went away during the few days I slept on their bed.When I arrived home I was determined to find a mattress like the one they had in the hotel room, only to discover that it was a Sealy that had been discontinued. Worse, I found out that Sealy had been purchased by Tempur-pedic, and I looked at what they were producing now, which was nothing like the wonderful coil spring I had in the 1980s. All they had was foam, and more foam.I searched high and low for a good old coil spring mattress with a pillow top, and found one manufacturer that still makes one: Kingsdown. I was both amused and sad that it is called vintage style (made me feel old!) and when I saw the price for just one mattress, I admit to being shocked. However, after a few more weeks of nightly back pain, I decided to pull the trigger, and boy am I glad I did.I did have to wait a few weeks, but it was worth the wait as well as the very high price. I have been sleeping on it now for three nights, and as I had hoped, my terrible back pain has gone.The only regret I have is not purchasing it sooner. Kingsdown makes a beautiful, well-constructed product, and I could not be happier. I only hope that they will stay in business so that when I need to replace this wonderful mattress, I can get a new one made just as well. By the way, Amazon hired a delivery company that arrived when they said they would, opened the box and put the new mattress in place, and took away ol’ SpongeBob (good riddance.)I couldn’t ask for a better experience.If you are on the fence, get this mattress, I don’t think you’ll regret it.

I never write reviews.. I mean never. But, after being swindled multiple times in the last 8yrs by a vast number of mattress companies I have had it. I have literally purchased 10 mattresses in a matter of 8yrs. I could own another home at this point. I have tried them all. I am not a picky person. I have slept over family members houses, friends houses, my significant other's house. They all have old school mattresses prior to the last 8yrs. It seems anything manufactured in the past decade is just completely dreadful and not made properly. This mattress was middle tier at a price tag of $1,934.06 for the mattress alone and $500 for 2 twin foundations for the King Mattress to fit on. What a waste of money at $2400. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY and steer clear of these clearly not well made mattresses. After a year I have major neck/back issues which include but are not limited to.. stiff neck, lock jaw, TMJ, neck/back spasms, my back goes out constantly, massive headaches. My boyfriend refuses to sleep over anymore bc he wakes up with his own very horrible symptoms in the morning and it ruins his days for the next few days until he gets back to his bed and rests well for a few days. They tell you to keep and try a mattress for at least 90 days, but sadly then you're past the point of returning the mattress. I purchased this is Aug of 2021 and it wasn't delivered until late Sept 2021 and then the return window was 10/1/21 so... Please tell me how that is sufficient time to find out if a mattress is good or not? I am so done looking for/researching and buying mattresses it is unreal. I have at this point, given up. But once I find the funds to get something to replace this devil's bed this one will follow the rest and be put to the curb for the garbage men to pick up. AWFUL.

Very comfortable and good support for older bones. My only complaint is that it should be reversible as the original “vintage” mattresses were.

I like firm beds. This wasnt firm enough for me, however the pocketed top is extremely comfortable. Kingsdown made my favorite matress ive ever had, which is a sleep to live. These matress are reinforced by the edge so you dont lose 6 inches of space on each end. Anything by kings down is quality. I bought a gel memory foam black ice beautyrest last year and I thought I herniated a disc until I went on a cruise and realized it was the lack of support. This one still isnt firm enough for me but it's an awesome bed if you want a notch below the firmest thing in a store.

I cannot say enough great things about this mattress! We are having our best sleep ever!!! Like a luxury hotel only in our own comfy room. Can't imagine what could make their top($13,000.00) of the line mattress any better. Now if they would just sell the low profile foundations on Amazon..... The wool and cotton makes for no complaints cool/warm temperature, the latex/innerspring gives perfect support (no pressure points ANYWHERE) and what little off smell there is, is lovely. Not too heavy to lift to make. Returned both a Saatva "luxury Firm (gave us both a back ache) and a Plush Beds "all Latex" (It was like sleeping on and lifting a dead fish to make and it took 3 men to get it in and back out of our bedroom and to re-wrap for shipping).

I have had a kingsdown mattress for over 20 years and it still sleeps like it did when it was new. I purchased this one for my guest bedroom and everyone that has slept on it says it is the most comfortable bed they have ever slept on. I would recommend this mattress to everyone.

This is my 3rd Kingsdown mattress. This is a warranty replacement from the graciousness of Amazon. We had a problem with one. Finally a great gentleman stepped up to replace it. The delivery was awful. But the gesture appreciated!!It’s what they should be. And we Thank You 100 times!!!!
