I went through a 1/4 pound bag of this kava. I did my normal method -- put 2 tablespoons in a water bottle with abouta cup of water, shake vigorously, and chug. I will say it is definitely "strong" -- you feel it very quickly. But, 2T are just too much in the nausea department. I had a pretty miserable experience with it one night -- felt very "groggy" (that's what kava does) plus nausea. Pretty "blah." The next night I took 1 tablespoon and didn't have a problem and felt pretty good (kava, if you haven't tried it, gives you effects up to a certain point and no farther regardless of how much you drink -- this in stark contrast to alcohol). In comparison, I have tried multiple of the more expensive, hard to get kavas at gourmet Hawaiian and bula; some of them were similar. Kava, again unlike alcohol, has huge variation of effect from product to product.

This is the 2nd brand i tried cause it was more cost effective then the 1st person i ordered from but it was Vanuatu in a 25g can which you only needed a tsp of the 1st brand. You need a Tablespoon with this brand.

I used to buy Kalm with Kava micronized powder, but it seems like there has been a very low availability on that for a while. I've been trying traditional kava and kava extracts from multiple vendors during this Kalm with Kava dry spell and have been perpetually let down by the lack of quality in these alternative products. However, I'm thrilled to say that Happy Kava is filling that gap. This stuff ACTUALLY works. It relaxes me and the effects are very noticable. If you are a longtime kava user, try this stuff!

Just adding the powder and some soy milk worked pretty well, I don't know what everyone else is talking about. Taste is no worse than any other kava I've tried.Package came smeared with what smells like chocolate. Was completely sealed though so I felt fine using it.

Don't know why other reviews said this isn't micronized? It absolutely is. Instant kava is a different thing entirely, but instant and micronized work similarly. I mixed a couple tablespoons in a bottle and shook it up to mix it. Didn't strain or blend or any of that. It works! It's kava. Feels like kava, tastes like kava....lol. I like this better than the more expensive tins of instant, by far.It's not that expensive so imo worth a try! I'm glad I did.

Seems fine to me. I usually just take a tsp at a time. Helps with nerve pain and anxiety. Fairly suitable replacement for my go to kava king. However, price is higher.

It’s a nice relief from an edgy neck and back pain. It also has a nice heady feeling for a while after drinking it. I usually use a large tablespoon in a little water, shake it up and it’s ready to drink.

Most potent instant kava product i've tried! Will definitely buy again. Highly recommend. Way better than all others i've tried.
