High quality stackable tool storage boxes from Bosch / Sortimo.
These Bosch storage boxes are made by Sortimo. They're hard plastic that protects the contents. They are stackable and lock together so that you can lift multiple boxes together from the handle on the top box. They have two handles -- one on the front edge so you can lift it like a briefcase and a large handle on the top. There are two clips, one on each side, that lock the box into the box below when stacked. You do need to align the boxes to get them to lock in though and that can be a bit finicky some times. They are designed to self align once you're "close" though. Unlocking a box from the box below it is easy - simultaneously press the releases on the latches on each side. My only worry with these boxes is how much weight they can carry before the top handle or latches fail. So far though, I've never broken one.

WAS ON THE FENCE.......Great for Bosch 12v, Milwaukee 12v, stuff,...even my Laptop Computer!
After reading some reviews I was on the fence. Maybe it would crack easily, maybe the latches would break off (cheap), top handle in the 'wrong' place, etc.. But I have Bosch 12v drills and was happy with Bosch quality so gave this empty case a spin.I was looking for a box part of some sort of tool box system that I could expand if it worked out. This is part of a pretty slick system of different sizes of LBoxx's with diff features /deep box /sliding covered or uncovered drawers / etc plus stackable. Sweet! This LBoxx-2 size is one step up from the smallest. I use it for all my Bosch 12v drills & drill drivers & have not had any trouble closing the lid or pressuring the hinges. I usually put in the custom tray for the specific drill I need for the day. But if I want an open boxx without any dividers, I take out the custom trays & load up my drill bit sets, extension cords, tape, electronic tools, laptop computer, etc..The case seems sturdy & doesn't seem like it will split too easily. It is a form of plastic but looks modified to be a little tougher & impact resistant. A good whack or some abuse might prove otherwise. Time will tell & I'll post and update. The red front latches are disappointingly weak & may be the first thing that breaks. The side latches the lock into the bottom or top of another LBOXX seems strong & secure. So the stacking latches are tough.Like the fact is resists water,....better than my canvass & nylon tool bags in that regard. If you just want space, then buy a bag. That's what I did. But if you want something classier & part of cool /functional stackable system, this is the best I could find but not particularly cheap. I found I could save money by buying other Bosch tools as a kit where the kit also includes a carrying case. IIf I want a custom inserts molded to protect Bosch 12v tools, I can buy the inserts individually. But I found it's cheaper to buy inserts that come in one of the Bosch drill kitsBut I bot this box with no custom inserts because I wanted something wide open to carry other brands of tools too,... like Milwaukee 12v drills /drivers, bit sets, etc. & it works great for that. Without inserts I can fit up to 4 - 12v drills inside, vs only 2 when inserts are used,...or 2-3 drills plus the charger. I can really pack it full of tools! When I don't want things banging around inside I put in a small thin towel to cushion /wrap /take up space. Or you can buy closed cell foam specifically designed for that purpose but those are pricey. The convenient size & features of this case gives me a lot of flexibility & diff ways to use it. All kinds of hand tools, Bosch 12v work site radio, batteries /chargers, diff brands of power tools, saw blades, computers, etc fit Easy Peasy. So it earns a 5-Star from me. Not perfect & there is room for improvement but not enough to disappoint. REally like this case & the options of the whole Bosch LBoxx system!

A Nice Box That Is Not As Big As The Q&A States
I like the box for what it is. It is good quality and not the best bargain. An issue with the Bosch Customer Support answer for this product is it says “The inside dimensions for the L-Boxx-2 measured at the narrowest point is 6" high, 12-1/2" wide and 15" long.”This box was unable to fit a 5.5” tall (at the tallest point). It’s an inconvenience but the great return policy makes it work out in the end.I am rating it in hopes of helping with the interior dimensions. I am giving it 5 stars because I think the quality and appearance is good enough for the price, but I would understand another person thinking it is overpriced.

Coolest modular toolbox system on the market
As an IT pro, I need to be ready to tackle a variety of projects on a daily basis. Keys to being successful and a true jack of all trades are to be organized and to be prepared. These LBOXX's are the coolest way to keep things organized and on the go. I'm not hunting for things in a big rolling box--I'm finding everything in it's place much more quickly.I use 5 of them right now, and they carry everything I need to tackle any project. Here's what works for me:LBOXX-3: Network patch cables, surface mount boxes, and USB patches and extension cables.LBOXX-1 with Insert Set: Fasteners of all types for mounting racks, cabinets, and wall-mount brackets.LBOXX-1 with Insert Set: Networking tools, jacks, plugs, test gear, and such.LBOXX-1 with Insert Set: Drill bits and driver sets for masonry, steel, wood, and assembly.LBOXX-2: Makita 18v LiOn drill/driver, 18v LiON impact driver, charger, and 3 batteries. I ended up making my own foam dividers with leftover server packing material rather than shelling out another $25 for the LBOXX foam kit. Works well for me, and keeps things from rattling around. They all stack and lock nicely, fit very well in the back of my RAV4. With my setup, this stack can get pretty heavy--a folding cargo dolly does the trick.Sure, they are a bit pricey, but the cost is easily offset by how much more efficiently I can work, how easy they are to transport, and how easy they are to rack in my storage area. If you have a cargo van, these are compatible with the Sortimo shelf systems (since they are made by the same company). You'll also find that some new Bosch tools are now packaged in these boxes, so they fit right in with your setup.Quality is very good, and the insert bins with some of the boxes give you a lot of flexibility with your storage needs.Very highly recommended!
