Good quality and easy - Used on front driver side 2007 pilot. 36mm socket to remove axle nut(includes new nut). Easy install. Just unbolt brake hose(12mm socket)from hub assy and loosen 2 strut bolts (19mm)., removing top and pivoting on the lower. Gives enough clearance to remove old and install the new cv axle. Use a large flat screw driver from down below to help pry the other end out from the transaxle, comes right out without tools or fasteners. Review: Seems ok so far. Also, some install advice. - I put this on a 2006 Honda Pilot 2wd with 209k miles on it. I installed it with no issues related to the new axle. It's a little bit shorter than the original axle but I think that's generally true for the aftermarket axles. I've seen lots of install videos where the new aftermarket axle is a little bit shorter than the factory axle taken off the car. Just a little advice. You need a pry bar and hammer to remove the old axle. This left axle goes straight into the transmission, unlike the right side which installs into a half shaft that's connected to the transmission. Don't waste time trying to pull it out by hand, you're only going to break it. When you're looking at the axle, position your pry on the right side. Position the pry between the transmission case and the axle. You will have to tap hard and frequently. You are trying to wedge the pry bar between the axle and the transmission case, without damaging the transmission case, and pop the axle out. It took me about 30 minutes to figure out the right spot, so be patient. Also, put a catch pan underneath the transmission. For some people, like me, some transmission fluid leaks out when you pop the axle loose. When installing this new axle, align the splines of the axle with those in the transmission. If you align the splines when you initially insert the axle, you'll feel the splines catch on each other and the axle will not spin. This is important before you tap in the axle so you don't strip anything. The new axle should have a new set ring on it. The set ring helps keep the axle connected to the transmission. These axles are super cheap, relative to the factory axles that lasted 14 years and 209k miles, so I'm not expecting a ton of years from them.
