Aqua Armor Fabric Waterproofing Spray for Tent & Gear, 16 Oz by Trek

I purchased this product to use for my umbrellas so the rain would roll off before I go inside. It did not work at all. In fact, I think the umbrella absorbed more water.

Unfortunately didn’t work like it should have. I would have had to use 2-3 bottles

I recently used this product to prime my beach canopy and tents before my yearly beach trip. The spray nozzle delivers a nice even spray so it was easy to cover both tents with the suggested two coats. Dried about as quickly as water and didn't leave the fabric feeling stiff or "crunchy". Could probably use on sleeping bags or the like as well because of that surface flexibility.So afterward I packed my gear and went to the beach with my husband and it POURED! Bad weather absolutely flooded our campsite as it rained buckets of heavy rainfall. BUT the inside of our tent remained dry!The waterproofing spray really held up to not just a light rainfall but practically a monsoon with no leaking into the tent. There was a mild amount of "sweating" on the inside of the tent but not enough to form droplets that fell, and that was only on the very peak of the tent.Would definitely recommend and use on my other gear.*Note*Our beach canopy is thin (just a $30 from Wal-Mart) and the previous year my husband and I fell asleep beneath it on the beach only to find ourselves sunburned because it offered no UV protection. I'm very pale so even if I roll in sunscreen I'm bound to be burned somewhere, but after using this product on the canopy I wasn't as burned!. Also the shade was cooler beneath the canopy. UV protection maybe played a part? I hope so!

This product did not work. It was applied according to the instructions but water did not seem to bead off the side of the tent. It was as if nothing was applied. I am going to try doing it again but I do not think it works.

Works great.It has water proofed everything I've used it on.

This waterproofing spray smells, and feels like Elmer's Glue. The spray bottle is drippy & makes a mess, and doesn't cover well at all. I need more water repellent, but I will buy something else, somewhere else. I will not use this product again, nor would I recommend this garbage to anyone.

If only this was as awesome as they make it out to be... I've coated my tent twice with it already, and still get leaks. :(

I would buy it again, and I will in the future for any waterproofing needs.However, for my smallish "3" man tent, I could have used another bottle. I suggest buying a few bottles if you go with this size.But through a heavy heavy rain and near flood (there was a LOT of water) this stuff (combined with Texsport seam sealer) kept me as dry as a bone and super comfy. Not a single drop on my well-used North Face Lunarship from the outside of the rain fly got inside, nor on the floor. It kept 100% of the water outside.
