Yes it will work on all types of lead acid batteries, including GEL and AGM.

No this item will only work on a 12 volt system, but we have a 24 volt version search on amazon for this item code " B00KEMCOK8 " or search " battery reconditioner desulfator 12/24 volt " it is a little more expensive at £49.00

Q: Will this definitely not disrupt the electrics if attached to a bmw car battery? worried it might interfere and cause damage. start/stop battery

I bought a new battery for my car, last summer. I don't drive my car much during the week and the old battery hadn't lasted long. Recently my 'new' battery was failing to hold it's charge from one weekend to the next. At £100+ for a battery for my car, I had nothing to lose by trying this 'reconditioner.' I connected it via the dashboard-mounted cigarette-lighter socket, with a 13-amp fuse in-line; and there's no doubt at all that it has revived the battery on my car in just a few days. Nor did it 'flatten' the battery in the process. I don't know how it works; but it does. My car is a 1999 1.6 Audi A4 petrol; and this device hasn't damaged my car. I'd always connect a fuse in the circuit, though.

Q: Will it damage a solar panel when it's connected permantly

If you use a controller for solar panel, the panel will not get any information or signal from the battery re-conditioner, the controller will block the signal to the panel, that is one of the reasons to have a controller in the first place.
