Pack of 10 Transparent Mini UV Blacklight LED Flashlight Keychain Torch Light Lamp

I bought these to use at work to help cashiers identify counterfeit bills. While they are strong enough to give SOME glow to flourescent strips, they aren't powerful enough to see without being in a dark room. They are now there to just have a presence at the registers, and keep cashiers on point with checking for counterfeits.If you want purple LED keychain lights, these are going to make you happy.If you wanted that awesome UV effect from the power of a keychain light, look elsewhere.UPDATE: While I haven't been using these how I originally intended to, these have become really nice in use for detailing and as a non-glare flashlight that doesn't blind you for the next 30 seconds after using them. I detail cars on the side in addition to being a c-store manager, and these are handy for making sure you don't miss any spots while shampooing as it shows (some) chemical as a different shade otherwise unable to be seen. I like to be thorough, and these ended up having an unintended purpose in my arsenal of random goodies. For the price, I see no reason not to buy a baggie and hand them out to friends. The remainder of those I don't use, are ending up as cool stocking stuffers for Christmas. :)

These things were amazing for my steampunk Halloween costume. I mounted them to some steampunk goggles with coat hanger wire and pointed them towards my UV contact lenses. I bugged people out all night long. It was awesome.

Totally served my purpose. My students created an indoor haunted maze out of black bulletin board paper. They wrote and drew pictures (in invisible ink) on the paper walls that students going through the maze had to find with these black lights as part of a scavenger hunt. Worked wonderfully. Kids had A LOT of fun. I recommend for black light parties.

***UPDATED***In today's economy, what sells me on a product, and then a brand, is the customer service of the company. Every product can experience bugs as it goes through the maturation of the line, but if the company is solidly behind it, those bugs become easily forgotten. I wrote the above average review based on a very practical, probably jaded, mother of 5. What has made me a fan of these, and re-evaluating my opinion of them is that the manufacturer contacted me almost immediately, and offered to replace the bag because it had contained some that didn't work. When I forgot to respond (remember the 5, right?) they followed up two months later when they were introducing a new line, and offered to send me one of those for testing.As promised, the replacement LED lights were shipped via UPS. They DO, in fact, remain constant if you slow down long enough to look it over. There's a toggle above the pressure switch. Unlike before, all function wonderfully. We bought these to recharge my daughter's glowing pendant/locket (two minutes with a black light charges the glow for four hours), and I wanted something small, that she could attach to her book bag, purse or cell, and that there were plenty of replacements for (she's 14 and tends to loose anything smaller than a refridgerator). And they do exactly that. She's taken to wearing the necklace everytime we go somewhere at night, just to get the compliments. My youngest son also loves them because we spent the evening using them on different currencies to find "secret" symbols LOL.Not only do I recommend this product, but I HIGHLY recommend this seller.*****ORIGINAL REVIEW*****Have to hold continuously to get the light to stay on. And several didn't work out of the bag. Average lifespan with moderate use has been about 2 months.

Should have read the product description better as I did not realize these were UV lights. They are very bright and all worked flawlessly. I was extremely impressed with how well the switch worked as I have another brand of mini light where the switch does not function as well.Since I did not need the UV light and my other lights batteries had all dimmed out, I replaced the UV bulb in this light with the white bulb from my dead lights. Now I have a very bright white light and a great functioning switch!

These are great little lights, and the battery works for a long time. I ordered them to take to a music festival and they were definitely a hit. Also, they sent me 100 instead of 10, so I handed them out to a lot of people.

These flashlights are easy to use and the perfect size for hiding them in a pouch when I was creating my BreakoutEDU games. I used them to reveal and invisible ink message and the kids loved it. The keyring would allow you to add them to your keys if you wanted.

The keychains per se are not a currency detector that you want to fully rely on. They can HELP detect counterfeit bills or documents BUT if you want this product to professionally do that, look for a PROFESSIONAL currency detector.The keychains are well made and the light will help you in low light situations like for trying to find a keyhole when getting home.
