Watches from the Official Cosmonaut range by Fortis have received the name since they meet the requirements of Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre in Star City. The watch is powered by Swiss-made ETA 2836-2 automatic movement that performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 25 bearing jewels. Other characteristics include fine timing device and Incabloc shock absorber. A day and date display is positioned at the 3 o'clock mark. Indicators are bilingual and coming in English and German. The watch has a uni-directional, rotating bezel that measures elapsed time. Hands, indices and bezel markers are covered with luminous paint that increases readability in the dark. Additional useful features include a crown with the Fortis logo, screw-down case back and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
