Great Racing Wheel, Lots of Fun, Works Great!
Having purchased a few second hand wheels over the years I have never had any success or fun with one that actually worked well or as advertised. They all got tossed. So I have been leary of jumping in again for some time because of the track record of these things actually performing. You can look across the web and see plaenty of horror stories. I purchased the VG T300RS and a wheel stand pro. I have been racing a few weeks now on the PS4 and the PS3 and both work extremely well needing no adjustments. This racing wheel works as advertised and has no latency or delay in response time between my actions and the game. Previously with the other cheapie wheels I had problems with control, a delay in response times and overall was always disappointed and remained wanting to experience some real driving simulation with a wheel that actually worked. This is the ticket, I really love it, I hope it lasts a long time. I had no problem switching operating mdes between the PS3 and the PS4. I love the feel of the road and the force feedback is excellent. It appears to be solidly built and time will tell how many years i get out of this accessory. I am surprised at just how aggressive and responsive the game play is with Drive Club and purchased several other PS3 games, Burnout Paradise,Driver San Francisco, GranTourismo and Grid. I am just now trying out the PS3 games and having fun with them. To beome a decent racing driver like any game it takes time and practice to get a feel for things. I am now looking forward to all the new racing games coming out this year, I never liked playing racing games with just the standard hand controller, it has been a non starter for me without having a wheel, although I did try Need for Speed on the 360 and lost interest with the standard hand controller. This is a great option for what I consider a decent midle of the raod price considering the more expensive wheel options on the market. Considering the more expensive wheel options for some time kept me out of the market because I didn't want amother cheap wheel and the others were just a little to much for me to part with. When this came out in a median price range my mind was quickly made up, love it, glad I waited to get one. I do not need or want a clutch or a separate gear shifter. The games let you shift gears using the paddles on the wheel, up or down, which is fine by me, an I do use them off and on, but not wanting any more pedals or distractions, I really like the fact the gears shift automatcally as you throttle up or brake, both work at the same time it seems in all the games, so overall, excellent.:)

T300RS Review 4/30/15
I had previously purchased the t100 steering wheel before purchasing this one only to realize that wheel just wasn't going to live up to my expectations. I needed something more advanced, more serious and the T300RS wheel is just what I was initially looking for and more! Main Points: - The steering wheel itself, not including the base, has some nice weight to it and it feels like it's about the same weight as a real detachable racing wheel. It's covered by rubber which makes it very easy to grip onto during some hard racing, even with sweaty hands. The wheel base is very nicely made out of smooth, but tough plastic. I think it will last for quite a long time as the motor works very well and efficiently. The fan kicks on rather quickly, about 20-30 minutes depending on your in-game force feedback settings, albeit quietly, to prevent overheating. You wont hear it over your racing setup. Tip: This may be going over the top, but I usually have a house fan running in the room that I'm using the wheel so there's proper air circulation for the fan inside the wheel base. It's just a preventative measure I take considering how expensive the wheel was and is. Hard telling if it actually makes a difference or not. Just something to try. - The pedals themselves are made of metal/steel however the pedal base is made from plastic. The pedals are adjustable and it's as simple as unscrewing a few screws to move the steel pedal heads (not sure what to call them) where you want them. If you're not using a wheel stand like I am, I could see the pedals liking to move around on a surface like the carpet because there are no grips along the bottom. I suggest pushing them up against a (sturdy) table or box to prevent this, although, I've heard that if you use both feet on them at once (one foot brake/one on gas) while racing that the pedals will stay put somewhat. I am not at liberty to say if that actually works or not as I've never tried it with two feet at once without a stand. - The force feedback is very strong and accurate, although it varys by game, obviously. For the most part though it is incredibly realistic. If the back tires are slipping out, you can feel it in the wheel right away. If you get in a big wreck, you can also feel that quite well. Got a tire going down? You can FEEL it. I guess that's the whole point of this little section. Absolutely no problems or complaints with the force feedback from this guy. Thrustmaster put a great little motor in the wheel base and it sure does the job well. All in all I highly suggest this wheel as it can be used with the PS4, PS3, and PC (when used on PC make sure its on PS3 mode, not PS4). Yes it is pricey, but it is very much worth it if you want a serious sim racer wheel. It will last a very long time if you take good care of it. I would personally suggest buying this wheel with a stand, however. It is much more enjoyable to use it that way for me anyways. Thanks for reading my review.

I've had this wheel almost a month now and right out of the box, setup and playing was a breeze! Even better, I noticed immediately the difference in feel, FFB, and just a better overall quality driving experience than I was having with my G-27! After having done one of the 24 minute races in GT-6 with the FFB set to maximum feedback, by the time I was done, my arms felt like they were going to fall off from such an intense workout that the wheel threw at me!! It was either join a gym and start lifting weight's, or tone down the settings. The latter choice was the easier and at no extra cost!!!! ;-) The dual motor, belt drive system is very strong, the wheel itself looks and feels well made and the mounting bracket as well as screw holes underneath the base for mounting to sim rig's work great. I have mine attached to my Play seat Challenge and she's as solid as a rock, even without the bracket, yet I put it on for added stability. The pedals work well and I have no issue with them, even though I've got the T3PA pedals on order and shifter for the full deal!! After having used the G-27 for 6-7 months, this wheels only issue for me personally is seeing as it's slightly larger in circumference, it means that the inner buttons are farther away than I was used to and even to this day, I still find myself searching for the proper button as I'm playing!! I'll have to get a finger stretching device I guess?? Beyond that minor issue, this product is "two thumbs up" all the way!! Yes, it's expensive, but, you know the ol saying, you get what you pay for. Plus, this is probably more geared towards those sim drivers that are more hard core than those people who choose a less pricey wheel and pedal set. That's not to say a novice just getting started shouldn't buy this item, as it will certainly help them achieve better racing results as this wheel is so much more accurate!! I couldn't be happier that I decided to purchase this wheel, even though the final cost's after the add-on pedals with clutch and gear shifter are factored in. I'm confident that they will last me for many years to come. Great job Thrustmaster. Cheers, Pierre.

This is the next best option, and much better than a Logitech which a few of my friends have. As soon as I can get a Fanatec setup from the UK for my sim rig, it is a done deal.

Been using this wheel for almost a month now and I've been lovin' it so far! The force feedback felt great and turning the wheel when going in a corner felt really nice and smooth. Having the paddle shifter attached together with the detachable wheel (unlike with T500RS) is also a good addition since you'll be able to use other wheels you like to replace the stock wheel included. Haven't had any compatibility issues with the games I played on both PS4 (Driveclub) / PC (Project Cars, Dirt Rally, American Truck Simulator and ETS2) when I'm using the T300 RS so far. The grip around the wheel have a rubber-like texture on it and I find it great for having a nice grip on the wheel while using it. I just wished there where more buttons on this for control mappings. Now unto the pedals. The brake pedals have a nice resistance to it when used for braking and the gas pedal is easy enough to be pressed down. The plastic base its attached to felt light and doesn't really helped much in keeping it from not moving on the surface when stepping on the pedals. Either mount it into one of those sim cockpit or attach some kind of rubber grip underneath for it not to move. Overall the stock pedals that comes with the T300 RS feels good to use if you are just starting to get into sim racing. If you really want to get the best experience out of sim racing I suggest in getting one of those ClubSport Pedals V3 from Fanatec to replace the stock pedals included, along with a TH8A Add-on Shifter and a Simetik Cockpit K2 to mount them into.

This is the best wheel out there. Amazing force feed back and very smooth. Plus being able to change the actual wheel with different types of wheels is awesome. If you add the shifter and t3pa pedals this is absolutely perfect. If you have the cash I would buy the t300 with the t3pa pedals. But if you cant just get this set and you can gradually upgrade. Best wheel i have ever owned.
