A complete waste of money
I was searching for a book to prepare for MMI and this was the only book that I found. However, I was utterly disappointed by the content of this book. First of all, it's not worth more than $5. Most of the information can be found online. It has many useless sections like what to bring with you when you're travelling out of province for MMI, and how to relax for your interview (relaxation breathing techniques, etc. that I don't buy). There's a full length MMI practice, though; it is useful to practice with someone else to feel better prepared. However, this book does not help you prepare for your MMI better than what you find on the Internet. Don't buy this book and save your money.

Mostly useless
Pretty useless book. 80$ for around 100 pages? Most of it is filled out with useless information, and includes tidbits like "You pour yourself a cup of water and didn't realize how thirsty you really felt until the soothing cold water coats your tongue," and "You look around the room as a distraction to the awkward silence." Uh, what? The other review is also spot on.Only thing good are the few practice questions. Definitely not worth 80$. Maybe 15$. With free shipping.

Absolutely no useful information
I am applying to McGill Med. this fall and took this book from the lib to learn a bit more about the MMI. Wow, good thing I didn't buy it and I'm writing this review to convince you to not buy it either - its $80 down the drain. There is no information in the book about HOW to prepare for the interview. All the book does is give you an outline of what happens and how MMI works. Then the author talks about crap like breathing exercises, posture, light snacks and the importance of filming yourself in a mock MMI to see your strengths and weaknesses. Not exactly 'secrets' for success!Overall, the book just gives off a vibe that the author wrote it very quickly to try and make a quick buck off this new interviewing system. The book is formatted with so much blank space that its clear that the author just tried hard to push the book over 100 pages. All the important points can probably be summarized withing 3 or 4 pages. The 'mock MMI' in the book is only 8 questions - anyone really preparing for the MMI will find better questions and analysis with just a bit of searching online.
