This product comes with and uses 9V battery packs (AA advertised) 2. The alarm is a loud beep, as loud as any other alarm I've used (not a "horn" as advertised)

First I have to say it’s not great with batteries but it’s a simple change but I really have to say it saved my home last night got home from being in town and I heard a beeping all the way out side opened the door and nothing but smoke rushed in(I don’t recommend) to find one of the bathrooms was on fire. we had it out trying to air out the house turned off the alarm only for it to keep going off finally decided to call 911 and come to find out the fire was in the wall so yes God and this alarm saved my home we watched the security cameras to see and hear the alarm start going off as soon as a small amount of smoke came out from underneath the bathroom door.Do I recommend?YESWill I buy again? Yes

Works great! Love the combo of smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. My father (a retired firefighter) recommended the battery version over a hardwired one. In a power outage they will continue to work

This item is a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm all in one. Inexpensive and very easy to install. Even comes with batteries.

Great customer service. I was having an issue with one of the four units I purchased but the company made it right. No issues with the other units. I even "tested" one out with my cooking last night.

They are a good size and thickness. They don’t feel cheap for the price. I would purchase again exactly what I needed.
