The Wahsega SIP Alerter is a surface mount IP paging speaker used for playing multicast voice pages, emergency broadcasts, alerts and ringers in classroom, retail, office, warehouse and manufacturing environtments. An optional Call/Panic Button Wall Plate allows the SIP Alerter to place calls to two different configurable numbers depending on how long the button is pressed, enabling crystal clear two-way calls with HD audio. Sound coverage can be expanded by attaching a horn speaker to the SIP Alerter. One onboard relay can be used to trigger door strikes, strobe lights, alarms and many other devices.

Brilliantly engineered and built in America, this ruggedized SIP-based VoIP intercom is feature rich and extremely easy to deploy. I used these as stand-alone devices to which office users can connect using freeware desktop VoIP soft phones, such as X-Lite and LinPhone, whenever a need arises to communicate with someone at a secured door or production site. Being VoIP, the two parties can be located in another building or even another city, as long as there is a SIP TCP/IP path between them.
