Unconventional Pillow Design Tried as Last Resort
I normally am not one to leave reviews. However, since this pillow had only one review when I bought it, and since this pillow has been the only pillow to have gotten rid of my neck pain, it would have been unfair for me to not have.I bought this pillow out of desperation really... My girlfriend and I even made fun of it for its unconventional look. I was skeptical, but I woke up the next morning with less neck pain than usual (the difference was noticeable). Everyday that I used it, the less neck pain I woke up with. Today, I am absolutely convinced that the pillow has pretty much gotten rid of the pain from my neck (all within a period of a week).I'm not going to lie; it does require some getting used to. It is not so comfortable to sleep on at first, but I am slowly getting used to it (gotta give it a chance). I wouldn't use it for side sleeping since I've found that the neck pain returns when using the sides of the pillow for side sleeping (The product's description says to use the side for side sleeping. I've found that the area with the hole will kill your neck if used for side sleeping or for "ear pain").I am a predominately a side sleeper, but I'm slowly training myself to stay put on my back since I find that it's best for my neck. The product's description makes a lot of sense. The body should be in the "proper anatomical posture" when sleeping. I think my posture is improving as well because of the pillow, but I think it's too early to say (I will confirm in the future).I had neck pain for over a year. The pain was on the upper back of my neck, where the skull and neck meet, making it difficult for me to massage it (only acupuncture was able to really get in there). The hole helps since my neck has nothing but support and the back of my head barely rests on the foam mattress.I've bought over $200 worth of pillows (one which I also bought at Amazon and it was the only one I was able to return with a full refund). Some days were better than others. Most days I couldn't even rotate my neck properly.I've tried fancy foam pillows, a goose-feather pillow, and a "water pillow," but none of them helped my neck. I would wake up with the worst neck pains and so would have to spend 15 mints every morning stretching my neck with some yoga positions to relieve the pain.My sister got me a certificate for deep-body-tissue massage and acupuncture, but that only helped temporarily.I would have rated this product 4 stars, but the fact is that it is the only pillow to have helped my neck so that's why I'm giving it a 5. Now you know why I don't usually write reviews... they are just too thorough.

Great pillow, but not perfect for me.
This pillow has a great theory. The hole for my head is too small, and I'm an average sized lady. (5"4 135) I would have preferred it be just a bit wider. The pillow as a whole is also too large. It will not fit in a standard pillowcase, which was a huge bummer because I have a special pillowcase I sleep with. I do use it, I just had to pull most of the stuffing out, and the saggy hole fabric under my head is annoying.Update: This item was purchased in April of 2017. It is now February of 2018.I got a better fitting pillow case and continued to use the pillow. It is still too wide on the sides and gets in the way between my spouse and I.There used to be a mesh fabric that attempted to keep the stuffing in the neck portion of the pillow. Unfortunately it tore out long ago. It never really did a good job since it was not attached in all sides, but now it just stays flat. I fill a sock with stuffing and sick it inside. Which is better than a flat neck support lol.

... & I agree with reviewers who say this works better for back sleeping
I'm a side sleeper & I agree with reviewers who say this works better for back sleeping. In fact the pillow is "retraining" me to sleep on my back! When I turn on my side my head gets virtually immobilized between 2 large mounds of pillow. Having said that, I have to add that I haven't tried removing some of the filling, which may improve my relationship with the pillow. It does seem to be improving my neck pain, which was becoming chronic, & I'd certainly recommend giving it a try. I bought a midsize D-Core pillow at the same time & the PillowMed works much better for me.

Great concept, not quite firm enough...
This pillow has a great concept. In order to have your neck in the proper position while laying on your back, you shouldn't have anything under your head. And this pillow doesn't. I actually wanted to make a pillow like this and was delighted to find someone already had! A neck roll is what i was using, but then i couldn't lay on my side. This pillow has nice large side panels for side sleepers. I haven't used it for stomach sleeping, since this isn't recommended for people with neck issues. The only complaint i have about this pillow is it isn't firm enough. I have had it for a month though and my neck and shoulder pain have decreased considerably.

Finally! A pillow that helps those with sleep apnea.
I purchased this for my husband who has sleep apnea and uses the machine at night. He likes the concept and the feel of the pillow, but we needed to take out some of the side stuffing so the pillow didn't collapse around his face. He is giving it a try with the stuffing out for a few weeks to see how it feels and how he sleeps.

Not great for side sleepers
I ordered this pillow thinking that it would help in the pain in my ear when I sleep on my left side (which unfortunately seems the way my body ALWAYS wants to sleep). But the hole in the pillow is too large, leaving not enough support on the top and bottom for your neck. The fluff seemed to move to either side instead, which leaves you with basically zero support in the middle of the pillow. I am still using it, because it's actually quite comfortable for sleeping on my back. I use another small pillow under my cheek if I want to sleep on my side, which takes the pressure off of my ear. It's not a terrible pillow, but it is definitely not worth it if you are a side sleeper.

Best for neck problems
It was better for my neck than for my ear problem. Didnt fit my head in a manner to benefit my ear so much. But I use it about half the time and rotate it with My Pillow which I purchased also. It helps my neck problem more. I recommend it

Has helped my neck pain
I had been having a very sore neck, and had made several trips to Doctors and Chiropractors to get adjustments. After purchasing this pillow, my neck pain has reduced...I still have some soreness in my neck, but it has been reduced somewhat. So, in short, it is helping, but has not totally eliminated the issue I am having.
