After my first use I was skeptical. I did a 10 min steam with my towel over my head over a pot of hot water prior to my first use. It worked a little but my skin was really red even though I only used the lowest two settings.Next time I used it I brought it in a steamy shower. The moisture on my skin helped it glide over my skin without creating redness. AND it got so much gunk out, my skin feels like it can breath. I recommend taking it in the shower AFTER you have used it in a mirror, so you know how it effects your skin.I read a dermatologists review of these type of products in general and she said not to use it everyday (over exfoliating is not good) and to only use the lowest settings.The hot end on the bottom gets too hot, not that useful of a feature. The oval head worked best for my t-zone. Overall great product.

Updated update: Got a replacement months ago, used it one time after charging for an appropriate amount of time. Went to charge and use yesterday and it does NOTHING. It will light up red, then quickly turn to green after plugged in but doesn't do a damn thing. Now I don't know wtf to do with this- punish the planet by throwing this in a landfill? Complete waste-- only useful thing is the charger it comes with.Update:Went to use it for only the third time and now it suddenly doesn't suck. Fully charged, turns on, makes lots of noise; replaced the foam filter and re-positioned the head attachment- still nothing. Very disappointed.Two days after my first use and the self-induced redness around my mouth has gone away. Gently twist a little before pulling the attachment off or you will bruise yourself. It is not the machine, it is the technique that causes discoloration. The oval attachment works great around the nose and mouth. Only thing it lacks is a dermabrasion head, have to find one that fits this unit. Pretty powerful suction, it grabbed a booger from INSIDE my damn nose. Gross, but impressive. Two days later my pores have shrunk now that those gunk plugs are gone. Reduced the horizontal lines on my forehead. Vertical brow lines will take a few more treatments, bitchface strong.

I have several questions concerning this product. 1. The use of the product is very general with the instructions in the box - I had to come back to the site to gather more detail. 2. When you receive it do I charge the battery a full 3 hours first? 3. Once it was charged I noticed after use the light below where the color lights were did not go off after use. It stayed lite in off mode. Is that normal? Doesn't this shorten the battery life? 4. When using the color lights do I use it when I suction the blackheads or after the removal of blackheads? I would recommend trying out the product for yourself - to gather from your own experience. Normally I don't write any bad comment but this product is not even worst any star. The suction is so weak and the battery is not hold any charge after 48 hours of unplug from the charger, even you are not using it after the charge.I made a mistake for not using it after it arrived. It's too late for return.

I got this blackhead remover mainly for the hot and cold compress and the light treatment. Both work very well. You do have to be very careful with the suction on this item....it can cause some bruising if left on. The instructions go over this as well as all the other uses for this blackhead remover. It comes nicely packaged, has many different sized heads to use....I would start with the smallest size first. The hot and cold heat and cool quickly which is nice to open and close your pores. There are 3 different lights for different treatments that are explained in the instructions. I loved that it is chargeable so you don't have to have it plugged in. I'm looking forward to using this for a few weeks to see the improvement in my skin. I will try and come back and update this review.

I wish I did not need to use this machine, but my face needs help. The vacuum does help get at the seemingly never-ending problem and makes me feel like I am taking better care of myself and my appearance. If you need this kind of device in your life, I can recommend. Just don’t leave it on high in one spot for very long - the suction is strong and will leave a red spot. Keep the thing moving and try lower settings first! I also must acknowledge that I had a technical problem with the unit and contacted customer service rep Wendy by email - she was super helpful and understanding in getting the problem sorted and awesomely ended up sending me a replacement, which works great!

This product is amazing! It really cleans deep down into the pores and gets all the gunk out. It also makes the pores appear smaller! I like to use this right when I get out of the shower so my face has had time to “soften”. I use it when my face is still damp, and always have great results. I also use this on my daughter who is 13, and she too loves it!

The suction works great and so long as I use a hot cloth to open up my pores I’m able to remove all of my stubborn oil buildup and blackheads with this product, however the hot/cold compress does not work properly. No matter how long I let the device run and no matter the level the hot compress would not warm above body temperature (when it is advertised to reach 113 degrees) and never cools much below body temperature.I reached out to customer service and received excellent service from them, they sent me a new device which the hot/cold also did not work on. Waiting for next steps from them; overall a good experience and good product aside from the one set back.
