Handle must be unscrewed, but off, the handle fits in the case also. Case is kept small and essential this way. Thumbs up on the case also. **Q: What kind of discs do i need to use with this? The kind witht the thread in them or jusg the disc you put on and tighten between 2 metal peices?** A: It uses the non-threaded discs, 4-1/2 inch diameter, with a 7/8 inch (arbor) center hole. You "clamp" the disc between two round pieces of metal (flanges). The tool (supplied) that you use to tighten the outer piece is unusual, it is an allen wrench that you put into a hex hole - one of 4 holes. Still have a need for a corded grinder so I was looking for a good value and quality unit. Since all my battery tools are Dewalt and no issues to date, I figured a Dewalt grinder would be good. So far it works great, very strong. My only issue is the paddle switch is on the small side (compared to my Millwaukee) and the safety leaver takes some getting use to.
