Great price, high quality, and versatile.
I'm using two of these to hold old phones up to windows in my home to act as security cameras. It's kind of a wacky concept, but it works and was dirt cheap. I was very pleased with them for the first few months I had them. For that period of time, I would have given them a 5-star review. However, if you're in a climate that experiences snow, you might want to reconsider. The suction cups aren't great when the weather gets cold. One simply won't stay attached to the windows it was stuck to for months. It'll hold for a few seconds, but then it falls off. I tested this on a warm plane of glass inside, and it stuck fine, so it's gotta be the air temperature or minor condensation that's causing the issue. If you don't live in a cold climate, you'll probably love these. They're plenty long enough to use in your car, and are flexible enough to hold your phone or GPS in any position you could want. The ball-joints hold tightly enough that I haven't had to worry about any sag at all. I'm still happy with my purchase, but I've had to augment my setup to account for the lackluster suction-cup. Having said that, only one of the two I purchased experienced this failure, so it could be a fluke.

Possible fix for suction issues.
This is a solid piece of equipment for the price. It suctions like a champ, but like many reviewers experienced, the first 90F+ day of the year, I went out to my car to find it had fallen off my windshield. I tried and tried to get it to stick back on my windshield but it wouldn't stay on there for more than 10 seconds, even without my phone in it.I was frustrated for many days thinking I was ripped off, but after examining the suction cup, I noticed a tiny hole developed in the dead center (presumably caused by the heat?). As you may know, this could affect the suction power. So I got a bottle of superglue and forced as much in that little hole as I could. After it dried, I washed the cup with alcohol for safe measure and the bugger hasn't fallen off since. It's been about a month and there have been many 90F+ days, so I think it's going to stay for good.Pros:-Solid construction (at least so far).-Holds phone with death grip.-Allows me with use my phone as a dash cam without the mount blocking the view.Cons:-Bobs up and down while driving, but that's expected considering the length of the neck.-Suction cup failed after a short time.

Clip is great! Suction cup... not so much
A lot of pros to this phone holder, but one very big flaw: the suction cup is terrible. I tried it connected to a special suction pad (specifically designed for the purpose; it works great with my Garmin GPS) and I tried it suctioned to the windshield. Even with just the suction cup, no phone, the suction cup fell off in less than an hour. With phone clipped in, it fell off in less than 5 minutes. I tried cleaning off the suction cup to be sure it had a strong bond, but even if it seemed strong at first, it did not last.HOWEVER-- the clip itself that holds the phone is wonderful! I like it a lot. Has silicone grips that hold the phone safely and securely, without damaging the phone. Clip expands to hold even an iPhone 6+. So in the end, I decided not to return the product, and instead I rigged up this clip onto my old Garmin suction cup base, and it held securely for a 5-hour car trip and has stayed in place ever since. I suggest using a different suction cup with it, or if you really don't intend to take it off, glue it in place to a dashboard suctioncup disk or something. For the price, it was worth keeping it even though it required some tweaking to get it to work right.

Works great, I’d buy it again
I use this product every day on my daily commute. When first installing it I was a little bummed to find that it did not stick to my dashboard even after thoroughly cleaning the surface, but after getting a dash disk that I double sided taped to my dash I have had no problems. The suction is really good on this thing when you stick it to your window or any surface similar you do not have to worry about it falling while driving or resticking it when returning back to your vehicle. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is due to brackets separating from the flexible tube, it’s not a huge deal but it would cause my phone to rotate on its own a little (nothing a little glue can’t fix). Other than this I have zero complaints, the clamp is really strong and you do not have to worry about your phone slipping out of it. Most importantly the flexible neck is sturdy I have a Galaxy S4 active and it has no problems even when going over bumps on rock roads. I would recommend this product especially for the price.

It held the glass, but...
I have a galaxy note 3 with the otterbox defender case and a stock battery. Did it hold to the windshield? Yes, like gorilla glue even when the cab of the truck hit 100 degrees. Like other reviews, due to the weight of the phone, it drooped until the phone touched the dash. I torqued the adjustment ring on the back of the clamp to it's limit, and the phone still tilted until I couldn't see the screen.I tried the horizontal position, and the screen stayed where I could see it only because the handle of the clamp was resting on the positioning arm. Unfortunately, I use the phone for more than GPS. So the I needed the phone vertical.Pros-solid for lighter phones-price-setting the suction cup to the glass took no effort(glass wasn't cleaned before install)-Phone clamp held wellCons-could not hold phone up-excessive bounce (due to weight of phone)-phone clamp is awkward to reach with one hand to open and catch phone with the other. With a std sized phone, this holder is a phenomenal buy. My phone was more than it could hold.
