Introduction to Algorithms (Eastern Economy Edition) Paperback – 2 February 2010

Its a must have book for every programmer or Computer Science student. This is the most recommended book for algorithms for students, teachers and professionals, even MIT and most of the MOOCs recommend this. It can be used as a textbook or a reference book. I have been using this book since 5 months.1. Prior programming experience is required. In particular, ability to understand recursive calls and simple data structures is enough. Knowledge of basic math and mathematical proofs is also required. They have also provided this in appendix.2. The book begins with introduction to algorithms, their role in computing and why you should learn them. Then it teaches you all the algorithms, beginning with the simpler ones, step by step. Each step is explained nicely, in the most elegant way.3. It teaches you all the tools required for analysis of algorithms.Some people don't recommend this for beginners. But I, being a complete beginner in algorithms, would suggest you to go for this without any second thought. It's a huge book, heavy to carry. You will struggle with some topics, but devoting time for this will be helpful and eventually you will master algorithms. Online videos are also available at MIT's website to help you with this.I have not completed the book. Will add more as I complete it.

Received complete new book(ofcourse the 3rd edition) and quality is very good.I ordered frm u-store seller for 992 and i'm really happy n its worth the price.The pages r normal and not that of great quality and all but they r thin and nice because its a new book.And the book....CLRS is the best book (i feel) fr u if u r a cse student. Its a bit on the higher level bt the language is very nice would be great to u if u understand them.Great for concept clearingThe smell of the new book is nice too !

The book is indeed awesome... But the seller: SHAKTIMAN BOOKS is printing the pdf of the original book... Binding the pages together and selling it... In short the seller is selling an illigal copy of the book...

Great book, but not for beginners, this book will demoralize you !Great book, but don't buy, because it won't teach you basics if you're looking to basics of algorithms. Its more advanced than you might even think. Its math heavy book, Before buying this book, make sure you're through with basics of data structures like, arrays,list,queues,trees,graphs. and discrete mathematics. Already pdf version is available on google, please checkout before buying. None of the chapters teaches you data structures, like stack,queues etc. Its more like a bible of algorithms, which has everything which looking for, but at very advanced level. Also, before buying make sure you're master in any one programming language, so that you can implement the algorithms better.
