Served It's Purpose....... See Photo~
Awesome blackout liner! I combined it with this, Sofia the First "Sofia Scrolls" Shower Curtain , did some trimming to the size needed... And made a blackout curtain for my granddaughter.Totalled about $10 plus around $2 for iron on curtain tape. Uploaded a photo so you could have a better look. Since this is a fabric shower curtain it looks just fine and of course our princess loves it! Much cheaper than buying the Disney bedroom curtains and will work better for blocking bright light!Removed the 'Real Life Princess' portion from the bottom since it's for a very small window but will use that (and the side portions we removed) for her castle tent windows, lol. Princess Castle Fairy House Girls Pink Play Tent by POCO DIVO Girls are so much fun! Smile. The shower curtain said do not iron but I did iron it on low to get out the creases and iron on high along all four sides to seal with the tape. I'll loop some pretty ribbon through each of the holes along top and tie a loop for each hole, making hoops to hang the curtain from. This blackout curtain came without any type of tag or info regarding whether it's okay to iron or wash. For the price I paid I wasn't upset but I didn't prewash it since I was unsure about it. I ironed on the side that feels velvety, on the same settings as the shower curtain, and it seemed to do just fine.I had to cut some edges because it was cut quite crooke but again, not a huge deal for the price.I was otherwise quite pleased with the weight and quality of the blackout curtain. Hope this is helpful!

Great for blocking heat and light!
I wanted this to block out heat from the afternoon sun. My windows face southwest, and in Texas the summer afternoon sun is like a blast furnace! This fabric liner really did the trick. It also blocks light completely.I didn't want the room to be so dark, so I put curtain rings on it and hung it on a cafe rod about a foot down from the top of the window so a little light can come in, but the room still stays cooler.Oh, btw, this fabric was very stinky when it first arrived. All it needed was about 12 hours hanging in the sun to outgas all the bad smell. I got 2 packages of fabric and didn't hang one piece up immediately, but I had it in my bedroom folded up as it came out of the package. It stank horribly for days, but I thought something had died in that room, didn't realize it was the fabric.I finally figured out what it was & hung it in the window. Fortunately, a few hours of hot sun baked out the odor!

Blocks out light great, smells awful.
These blackout our room very well, and the fabric looks great and is easy to work with.... but..... we cannot get rid of the chemical smell. It's getting to the point where we are thinking of cutting our loses and finding another material for our windows.Honestly, I'm not one to complain about smells of fabric, and totally get that some fabrics will have an odor when new, but its really, really bad. We live in a condo, and on a hot day I can smell them outside of our unit, and even down the hallway (our front door is far from the windows). We've had them up for a few weeks now, and we can't seem to get the smell to go away at all, even with the windows open 24/7 to try and air them out.Its strange because I really didn't see many reviews mentioning a smell, so maybe we just have bad luck? What we've noticed is that the smell really picks up when its hot out. Obviously we got this to block out the all-day direct sunlight we receive, so the smell is a constant throughout the day. Bummer.Again, works great for blocking out the light, but just beware of the smell.

These liners are really great and pretty cost effective
These liners are really great and pretty cost effective. They will block 98% of the light coming through your window. I initially bought blackout curtains, but unfortunately they only darkened the room and the sun still came through the windows. I ordered these and taped them to the back of my curtains and now NO light comes through the windows. It's awesome. They work so well, that now my body is confused. It never knows when to wake up as it thinks that it is still night time despite being 2pm. If you're trying to make a cave of darkness buy these. My only gripe about these are the sizes... You will probably need two pieces to cover a standard window and probably 4 pieces to cover a sliding glass door.

Just what I needed
Good fabric, really does block out all the light! I made a super simple curtain for the nursery and it works well even on the bright summer mornings when the sun is shining right at the window. You can definitely tell everywhere it's not touching the wall though, and because it basically has a plastic layer(or something) it's not breathable, so I just open the window every time I get the baby up from his nap. It had a bit of a plastic smell when it first arrived, but it had aired out by the time I made it into a curtain. If I ever need another black out curtain I would buy this fabric again! Much less expensive than paying $80 for a black out curtain

excellent product
I bought this black out liner for my media room window to control light for my home theater projector. While I have bali blackout shades on those windows for light control, the vertical row of holes in the pleated shade to allow the retracting cord to go through would let a vertical row of white dots to enter the room. I bought this material and used thumbtacks to attach it to the window frame of the window behind the pleated shade. I now have 100% light control of the window with absolutely no light bleeding through. I suppose I could have mounted it in a better fashion, but for my purposes where the window is not ever opened anyway, this works great.

it works great.
Be careful with the measurements. It was not large enough to cover the area that I needed. I painted it with green screen- blue for a backdrop. The size was smaller than I needed but otherwise, it works great.

great product and price
great product and price! I do see what others mean about it having a slight smell - although we only noticed it when the room got warm and stuffy. mostly gone now and we've been using them for 3 weeks.
