We just installed the Bath Royale Deluxe Elongated Toilet Seat and Cover with nightlight. The installation was super easy and quick. The nightlight is very soft at night but effective giving the toilet space a soft blue glow. The seat is shaped nicely and doesn't "cut" your legs and has a nice "feel" on the bum. It is also sturdy. Sitting with the lid closed to tie shoes, etc., it does not "cave in" or feel as if it's going to crack or let one fall through. We've had several similar lids from the big box home stores. They have not been as well constructed and quickly lose their "silent" close feature. They also are not as sturdy when seated with the lid down. So far, we're very pleased.

Seat arrived on time and in great condition,. The installation went well and the seat is quite secure. I really like how sturdy the seat is and its contouring. I would have rated the seat 5 stars if it weren’t for the light either staying on for prolonged periods of the time or not turning on when tapped. I want to see how the seat holds up before ordering another. Overall solid product so far!

Impossible to change the battery once it dies. It was a challenge to install the seat itself, but it just takes time. The company website does not have any info on changing the battery. Do not buy this one

I am disappointed in this product. The directions to install it were very poor. The “advantage” of easily detaching it for cleaning is nonexistent because it is difficult to install. The night light quit working after 7 months and replacing the battery is very difficult because it is so difficult to detach and reinstall the seat. When the night light did work it was erratic - sometimes it would turn on when no one was in the room and an eerie glow would be coming from the bathroom. Other times, it would not turn on until you actually sat down. The configuration of the seating surface slopes downward toward the central opening rather than the normal mostly flat surface expected in a toilet seat. This is uncomfortable and little children find it difficult and need to hang on to the edges do they won’t slide into the hole. This is an expensive toilet seat and I would have been better off buying the much less expensive standard toilet seat. I do not recommend it.

Note that the light feature is activated by touch/sound/vibration and turns off after 30 seconds. I overlooked this statement when reviewing this item for purchase and assumed the light feature was a steady on through the night to illuminate the toilet without have to touch or make sound/vibration.

I don't write a lot of reviews (check my history) but I've been very pleased with this product and wanted to share.I wanted to replace the lids/seats in my house since a couple were loose and/or missing mount covers, etc. I wanted to go with a slow-close design so I started there. I came across this and decided to order one to test it out. The lighting feature seemed intriguing and as it was the same price I figured "why not?"When I first took it out of the box, the lid/cover were "loose" and didn't seem to be "slow close." I was initially concerned I didn't receive the right item but I then thought that maybe it needs to be mounted for that to work. Yes. So please make sure you're aware it *is* slow close but that works once it's mounted in place.The first one took me maybe 5 minutes max to install and it's awesome.I bought 2 more the next day.Of the next 2, one of them had a piece that didn't fit just right. I emailed the company and they shipped a new part the next day. I exchanged several emails with them and they're very customer friendly. The replacement part worked perfectly.Long story short, I have a fairly limited exposure to them so far (a few weeks) but they are working fantastically. I will also say that they are VERY sturdy and look great. They are much higher quality than what my builder installed in my home and the light feature is very cool.

I was in the market for a replacement toilet seat to replace the old moldy one my wife was constantly complaining about. The previous one was purchased in one of the big home improvement stores for under $25 or so.This time I wanted one with a silent close feature. I knew I would have to spend a little more. When I checked online I stumbled across this one, which seemed really nice. I've never heard of this brand before, but the reviews were all very favorable.One of the main things about replacing toilet seats is always figuring out if it will fit or not. Luckily, the description clearly showed how to measure ones existing toilet to be certain it will fit. And sure enough, it does!The second big for me is, how difficult is it to replace my existing toilet seat. Nobody likes putting their hands under / behind a toilet. No matter how clean one keep their bathroom.That is where this toilet seat shines. After quickly removing my old seat, the hardware included with this model makes it very simple to position and install. I was confused at first at how it was going to be mounted, but I simply followed the excellent printed guide which is several pages long.This seat then simply snaps in place, and can be easily removed by pushing a button. In my case, the night light. Speaking of which. I was not specifically looking for a toilet seat with a light, let a lone did I know that such a feature existed. However, with the price difference being so minor between the model with light and without, it was a no-brainer!Now that I have a night light, it makes using the restroom late at night or early in the morning a breeze. The light turns on by detecting movement and/or audio, and stays lit for 30 seconds or so. All in all a very unique feature.Not quite sure why the manufacturer picked a blue light, as I would think a red or orange type light would be better to retain ones night vision.All in all a great buy, and highly recommended by yours truly!
