Bauerfeind’s EpiPoint braces and supports have stabilizing support to relieve tendon pain such as tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, arthritis and similar muscle and tendon irritation or inflammation.
Anyone who repeats the same arm movements every day can be suddenly overcome by sharp pain. The tissues are over-strained and become swollen and inflamed. Bauerfeind’s EpiPoint supports massage the tissue during exercise and stimulates the metabolism. This can help the swelling to go down quickly. EpiPoint braces have an integrated elastic cushion that relieves pressure on the tendon attachments at precisely the right points.
The EpiPoint elbow support fastens around the forearm with an adjustable band that lets you set the level of compression. A red warning section indicates if the strap is getting to be too tight.
The pad in the elbow support can be rotated around the central axis and refastened with a Velcro fastener, so the EpiPoint brace can be worn on either the left or the right forearm. **Q: How is this better than your cheaper version of black sports elbow strap with adjustable pressure, and easy on and off placement?**
A: This version of the Epipoint "tennis elbow" prevention strap has one key difference.  It works because it has three plastic pressure point plastic balls about the size of the tips of your ring, middle and index finger that happen to be place right where the nerves connect to the elbow and prevent the overuse in racquetball from inflaming your elbow tendons and nerves.  It is as if you had three fingers on three different pressure points versus one generic piece of plastic roughly attempting to hit multiple points, but ends up being less effective.

**Q: Does any of the bauerfeind elbow straps protect both sides of the elbow? also confused which one works best for golfers elbow (inside of elbow)?**
A: I have not used any that help the inside part of the elbow, but the outside of the elbow is helped tremendously for racquetball and tennis overuse symptoms.

**Q: How long are you supposed to wear it?**
A: For me the pain stopped in 2 weeks (I was actually thinking of giving up squash becase the pain was so bad) I kept wearing for months after as it doesn't both me and I found when I stopped wearing it, the pain came back in a month or so. I suggest wearing it for at least a month after the pain stops, and then see if comes back.

**Q: What is the difference between this and bauerfeind - epitrain - elbow sleeve? besides $30 difference…**
A: I can't speak for the elbow sleeve but the EpiPoint is excellent and I have bought it twice.  It is reinforced with steel and has a velcro strap that allows you to really crank up the tightness when needed.
