This is a really nice colouring book - I was looking for something a bit different and I certainly found it with this one. The pictures are detailed without being too intricate and they are very inviting. I think I will really enjoy this book and have since ordered another in the series. If you want something different from the usual flowers and swirls I would recommend you buy this book - its great fun and good quality too.

C'est mon album de coloriages préféré. Et j'en possède quelques uns, dont les Kerby Rosanes, Zifflin, etc... Mais Fairy Tales Doodle Adventure, est génial. Les dessins sont vraiment originaux, avec beaucoup d'humour et de nombreux détails.Le papier est plutôt fin, mais n'ayant pas de dessin au verso, on peut utiliser n'importe quel outil.J'ai utilisé de l'aquarelle, des feutres gel pailletés, des feutres, du Posca, des pastels à l'huile, des crayons de couleurs estompés à l'essence minérale sans odeur, etc... Et c'est juste génial de pouvoir utiliser tout ce que l'on souhaite, sur un livre avec de nombreux dessins, et des détails adorables.Vous avez de quoi vous occuper durant de nombreuses heures. J'ai hâte de pouvoir retrouver un livre avec le même illustrateur, car les dessins sont vraiment originaux. J'ai adoré pouvoir le mettre en couleur, sans prise de tête, en se relaxant et en s'amusant à utiliser tous les différents crayons et outils que je possède.Les dessins sont très variés, il y a de nombreuses pages, avec un dessin par page. À ce prix, il n'y a vraiment aucune hésitation à avoir, bien au contraire.C'est le cadeau idéal, pour tous les adeptes de coloriages originaux, avec de nombreux détails, pas trop compliqués et mignons, et il convient pour tous les âges.Faites-vous plaisir ! Surtout à ce prix, il est vraiment de qualité, et les dessins sont nombreux. N'hésitez plus !

Cette nouvelle série de livres de coloriage(comme okami books) est vraiment génial. Non seulement les dessins sont adorables. Des doodles en relation avec les contes de fées.( dont un exemple d'encours de réalisation d'un coloriage). Prix largement abordable dès leur sortie avec 40 planches. De plus pour les adeptes des feutres (alcool ou pas) c'est bien puisque un dessin par page. Le papier n'est pas beaucoup épais mais ça ne gêne en rien pour s'amuser tout en coloriant.Les personnages sont si mignons, accompagnés de petits doodles , on ne s'ennuie pas et les pages sont bien remplis. Ne vous privez pas !!

Storytroll Designs has a great new coloring book line under their catalog Julia Rivers. The latest coloring book in this series is “Fairy Tales Doodle Adventure” by Ronie C. Pios. In this coloring book, the illustrations are a mix-up of fairy tales with lots of doodle creatures. The fairy tales are all familiar and some of the characters look a bit like parodies of some famous versions of the tales. However, the really fun part of the designs are the addition of the doodle creatures. These little guys are all over the place! Some are related to the fairy tale but many are random but integrate well into the overall design.The designs are detailed and some have intricate and small areas to color. That is not surprising as most doodle creature books have intricate areas, which is part of the charm of the characters.This is what I discovered while coloring in this book and testing my coloring medium on the paper:40 designs which are a mash-up of fairy tale characters with doodle creaturesPrinted one side of the pagePaper is typical inexpensive quality by CreateSpace printing: white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated.The designs do not merge into the binding. While the designs do not have a framing line at the outer edges of the designs, they do have finished elements at the edges for ease of coloring.Glue BindingAlcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work well with this paper. I found that I could layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and I could blend easily using a blending stick. I tested both oil and wax based pencils. I also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.I like to use a blotter when working in the book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.

I really love the drawings in this coloring book. It has a really nice combination of open space, large coloring areas along with smaller coloring areas. The only drawback to this book is that the paper quality is rather poor. I've been cutting the pages out, using my copier to scan & print them on a better quality paper. The size & shape of this coloring book is pretty close to standard 8.5x11, which allows the full picture to be included in a scan. (Transfering the design to high quality paper or light cardstock is also recommended if you wish to use other mediums such as alcohol markers, gel pens or water color brush pens) I've been using Castle Art Supplies soft core color pencils, and though I'm no coloring expert, I feel my result are good and I'm having quite a lot of fun! I would highly recommend this coloring book to any colorists who like coloring pictures that tell a charming little story. I get bored with static geometic designs, and over-detailed yet stiff lifeless pictures. This books' drawings alone make it a worthy purchase with it's silly humor & quirky personality. It's just fun!

This book isn’t wasn’t I expected. It is called “doodle adventure” but it’s just a coloring book - and not spectacular at that. It reminds me of one of those coloring books that someone printed pages off the internet and just bound it in a pretty cover.My 6yo wasn’t really impressed either and it just sits in a box somewhere wasting space.

This book is better than I thought. The pictures are really, really cute and the paper is decent quality for books in this price point.

Really loved this collection. Of course, paper is an issue with these, but not enough to keep one from enjoying the drawings included. It's a great little set and those doodles will make you want to color for days.

Excellent coloring book. It's a lot of fun, very interesting pages to color. I have over two hundred coloring books, this is one of my favorites. If you like doodles, and funny crazy looking characters this one's a must have.

Every page in this coloring book is super adorable. I’m very happy that I ordered this and highly recommend it for people who like these types of doodle books and like Fairy Tales.

Bought for grandkids , nice paper and many to chose from sheet wise, even grandma is enjoying hers. Look for artist pencils to complete the set.
