Review #1: Pillow was way too hard. Felt like a rock. I tried it for all of 15 minutes. However, from what I've read, excessive firmness is common for pillows like this.Review #2: The seller notified me and said they've "recently devolved a much softer version of the cool gel pillow." He also graciously offered to send me another at no charge. I accepted his offer.I am eager to see how the new pillow feels. If the pillow suits me I will keep it and pay for it. I will also update this review to completely favorable.Review #3: Awesome pillow! I used it last night and slept better than had in a long time. Neck pain is now GONE.I am going to try it for a few more nights. If I still like it I will pay for it and order a second for my husband.

You want a pillow that is comfortable and stays cold, am I right? Why else would you go looking for this thing? The gel layer stays cool unless you have a hot head. Even then, just move around a bit and you are set. Only complaint about this pillow is that it is relatively short, but that's not the pillows fault. If you're a side sleeper, put this on top of another pillow and you'll sleep like a baby after they've been fed, burped, and changed.

I bought the firm pillow. I understand Pillows are very personal and I've used it four nights. It definitely is a cool pillow. I don't know how that is accomplished, but I love that aspect a lot. It is only 5" thick and your head does sink in some so for me I would like it to be higher. I just keep an extra pillow handy. I don't find it too firm at all. Appears very well made and the manufacturer is genuinely interested in keeping youhappy with their product.

I’m not sure if I received a used pillow. Pillow isn’t 5 inches as described. I have a picture with two different pillows one is actually 5 inches to the right. I’m not sure if the pillow is used but I am sending it back because you could see from the pictures that the foam has cracks all over. As well as an indention on the back of the pillow. No idea what the red mark is. I really liked the foam. It’s very soft to the touch. It was extremely comfortable. Not sure if I’m going to try the pillow again.

I ordered this pillow to provide support for a chronic neck problem. The pillow helps me sleep well without waking to a stiff or sore neck. I actually ordered 2 pillows so that I could give one to my oldest daughter, who had tried mine and loved it! We are now 2 very happy campers!

this is a great pillow, keeps its shape and is very cool at keeping your head cool at night (we turn it over to the "warmer" side for winter. However, I ordered the FIRM firmness, and be warned this is VERY firm. Not much give to it. If I have to order a new one (and I might), I'll order the next firmness down.

This is the third cooling gel pillow I have tried and it is no better than the other two which I returned. I would wake up after about two hours with wet hair. Why can’t someone make a cooling gel pillow that stays cool all night!!! Also, the pillow is quite small... it doesn’t even come close to filling a standard pillow case.

I have had multiple memory foam things before, and actually currently sleep on a memory foam mattress. It's a given that there will be that memory foam "chemical" smell when you first take them out of the plastic and you have to let them air out for a day or two before it becomes tolerable. Well, I have had this pillow for over a month now and it still smells like it just came out of the bag. It's way too offensive to keep your nose that close to it for more than a few seconds. It's too bad as the cooling pad portion works great and it's generally a very comfortable pillow.
