All the stuff you need.
I went through a lot of listings for similar items and chose the Tactical Prepper Professional Personal Water Filter Straw because it gives the most for the money. These water straws are all more or less the same as far as their general concept and build (although quality varies according to many reviews here). I have not yet tried this one in the field but it has all the stuff I need. It comes with the basic water straw/filter, a longer, flexible plastic tube to attach to the straw/filter so you don't have to get on your belly to drink from a stream, a syringe for flushing out and cleaning the device, and a handy water bag to store water or squeeze water through the device. It comes with instructions inside and outside the package and even has a carabiner for hanging up the water bag in your camp or on your belt. I would not want to be without one of these. You never know when fresh water is going to be an issue, and for the price, grab one. You may be glad you did.

It definitely filters.
It definitely filters but I don't think its filtering enough contaminants. I tested the water after I filtered it and the average was 350 ppm. I guess this is good enough as last resort when SHTF?

Complete Pure Water Filter Kit
I liked that they furnished a complete kit with High efficiency filter, suction tubing, lanyard, clip, and water bottle.I think the filter could have been larger to increase the flow of filtered water.Overall, this is a good kit for backcountry hikers, survivalists and preppers.

I bought two of these, both were open. I checked online at other places and the packages are to be sealed. Very odd.

Very hard to suck anything through! All your energy would be waisted from trying to suck so hard.

Can't draw or force clean water through it.
It's compact and light, but it's almost impossible to get water through it. It takes a lot of effort squeezing a soda bottle to force tap water through it, and I can't suck water up through it. Perhaps I just got a dud one as there are lots of great reviews. Seller has offered a refund so that's appreciated.
