Beautiful book.
Bought this for my mother in law and it is a very pretty book with great recipes and pictures and is packaged nicely in a box. She has a bakery and it sits in her kitchen for inspiration. The poster is a nice addition too and pretty to display in a frame if you wanted.

Great book
I bought this book initially in Paris. It is so detailed and beautiful and I shared it w a friend who makes macaroons. I ordered the same book as a birthday gift for her. I don’t think I will ever make one macaroon but the book is well worth it.

Great!
I got this book because I needed inspiration to make new macaron recipes, which it was great because it helped me learning how to do new fillings and a couple of varieties of shells. The book is beautiful! And the pictures are great! I really even love to cave it as a "show off" in my bookshelf. My advise here is that if you don't have previous experience making macarons, the recipes might be a little confusing to you.

Beautiful, beautiful!
I just received this book and I could not be more thrilled. Beautifully boxed and wrapped in tissue paper, the book is simply gorgeous. Though I bought this as a gift to myself, I would highly recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves French macarons or just wants to be transported back to Paris. I look forward to trying my hand at making these perfect delicate little French morsels. Don't let the price scare you...well worth it.

Brilliant. While not always the best recipes
Brilliant. While not always the best recipes...the photographs and recipes inside give much inspiration when coming up with new ideas for Macaron experiments. Many good tips inside, however I always recommend YMMV with ANY French Macaron recipe...altitude, oven type, mixer type, and type of almond flour you use can always impact the end result. But it's a beautiful book and the packaging is classic Laduree!

Beautiful gift with difficult recipes!
It is a beautiful book and costs less than the French version I purchased in Paris. Looking for an English translation and gifts I purchased a couple. It is really a cute book and the pictures are stunning, it is eye candy if you are like me and really don't need to indulge in eating Macarons. That being said I have tried a few recipes and tried the basic recipe today, using the difficult to find "castor sugar" which is really the fine ground baking sugar. About half of my shells cracked, but this could be due to error on my part, my egg whites didn't seem to have firm enough peaks due to my food coloring. (yes I did use paste) I was able to find inverted sugar as well, but I am puzzled as to what they mean by Corn Starch (flour). Do they mean Corn Starch or flour? Anyone know? Also Pistachio paste has been impossible to find thus far. As others have said, if really is disapointing to have a flavor listed with no recipe, what is up with that, just a teaser? I'd suggest YouTube or an online search for directions and recipes for a beginner like me and this book for a gift or coffee table. The pictures and poster are worth the price of admission.
