Anand A melodramatic tale of a man with a terminal disease. The story begins with Dr. Bhaksar winning a literary prize for his book about a patient called Anand. The rest is flashback. Anand, the title character, is suffering from lymph sarcoma of the intestine. He, however appears to be cheerful on the outside and is determined to extract as much pleasure from his remaining lifespan as is possible. Dr. Bhaskar his physician tends to Anand in his last days. After Anand dies we can however still hear his voice which was recorded on a tape. Dr. Bhakser writes a book on his patient and wins a literary prize for it.Chupke Chupke Raghav brags that he can smell a rat or an impersonator automatically and Dr. Parimal Tripathi decides to take him on - result funny family slapstick comedy, with a dose of pure Hindi and Urdu thrown in, especially the dialogue delivery by Om Prakash, Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan.Gol Maal Gol Maal is one film that's got the perfect ingredients to make it one of Hindi cinema's all-time-greats. A superb cast, a storyline that keeps you laughing throughout and some memorable tunes. In his quest to attain a job, Ramprasad Sharma (Amol Palekar) assumes a nerdy identity with a pride for his moustache to impress his would-be boss Bhawani Shanker (Utpal Dutt). All goes well till Bhawani spots the real Ram who now resorts to a dual identity and spate of lies to keep his job. More trouble brews as the boss's daughter falls in love with him and he struggles to maintain his sanity while switching nerdy and hip-hop.Guddi Kusum is a quiet and simple school girl who is crazy about Bollywood movies. She thinks that in movies real life related things are shown. She is crazy about a movie-star and actor "Dharmendra" and he is her real-life hero, she will give anything to be near him. Now, she is growing but still unable to differentiate between reality of life and movie. Such is her obsession with movies and Dharmendra that she is not willing to even consider marriage with anyone other than Dharmendra himself. A young boy is deeply in love with her but the girl does not even care about him because she love that star (Dharmendra) too much. In the movie, girl's mama (Uncle) takes the help of the movie star and shows her the reality of movie making. In the end, the girl gets the points and decides to get married to the boy.Bawarchi Squabbling Sharma family has a dubious reputation of not having any cook last there for more than a few months. Word spreads out about this family to such an extent that no person wants to be employed as a cook in this household, ironically named Shanti Nivas. Then one day a young man named Raghu offers to work as a cook and he is hired. Raghu quickly gets a grip on his job and on each of the family members and soon the squabbles and arguments come to an end. And then the Sharmas find the family jewels and Raghu missing.Khubsoorat Nirmala Gupta runs her household and family in a very strick and authoritarian manner. While most of her family resent this, they do obey her and carry out her instructions, so as to be on her good side. Things start to change after her second son gets married to Anju. Manju, Anju's sister, comes over to stay for a few days with the Gupta family and is accepted by everyone except Nirmala. Nirmala's third son intends to marry Manju. But Manju does not like the manner in which his mom bosses everyone along and feels some changes are needed in Gupta's household.Mili Shekhar Dayal has moved into a new neighbourhood and is just not pleased with the new surroundings. He resents the noise children make while playing, as he prefers quiet and solitude. His reclusion is shattered when his neighbour, Mili, comes into his life. At first he hates the intrusion, but then grows to be fond and then ultimately fall in love with her. When the time comes for him to propose to this sunny, cheerful and positive young lady, he is told that she has only a few more months to live.Koshish Romantic drama spanning nearly 20 years involving a deaf-mute couple, Haricharian and Aarti. Deaf and dumb bicycle messenger Haricharian meets equally deaf Aarti and persuades her to go to sign language school to communicate with her mother and brother. The courtship leads to marriage and ultimately a child born to them. Years later, after the death of Aarti from a brief illness, Haricharian' s teenage son tries to deal with the after effects as well as his history of being raised by two deaf parents when he begins courting another young girl who also happens to be deaf.Aashirwad Shivnath Choudhary lives a wealthy lifestyle in Chandanpur, India, along with his wife, Leela and 8 year old daughter, Neena. He likes to mingle with poor folk much, especially Baiju, to the chagrin of his wife, who shuns them and only tolerates them as long as they continue to pay taxes. When Shivnath steals money to help dwellers, Leela has the huts burnt down and forbids him from seeing Neena ever again. Hurt and confused, Shivnath flees to Bombay, where he befriends a man named Mahadev and makes some money entertaining young children, including a girl named Neena. When Neena passes away, Shivnath returns to Chandanpur only to find the village in ruins and Rukmini, the daughter of Baiju, abducted and being held by Ramdas, Leela's Munim. Shivnath tracks Ramdas down, kills him and is subsequently arrested and sentenced to prison for 14 years. He passes his time writing poems for Neena and hopes to see her one day when he gets released. Years later, he does get to see her in the prison yard along with her fiancé, Dr. Biren, who is the doctor attached to the prison, but finds that she loathes convicts. He hides his real identity from her and she subsequently warms up to him and even talks with him about her dad. He also finds out that she is to be married soon. A day before her marriage, Shivnath has a stroke and is hospitalized. The next day he is told that the rest of his term has been pardoned and he is free to leave when he recovers. Shivnath insists on leaving immediately. Seriously ill and facing the risk of being shunned by everyone will Shivnath make it to Neena's wedding in time?Kissi Se Na Kehna Kailashnath is a widower and father of the only son, Ramesh. He feels that his son has come of age and must get married. He goes to see a number of young ladies for him, but is disappointed with them, as he feels they are too modern, speak English and listen to foreign music. He feels that Ramesh will be better off marrying a non-English speaking lady, preferably from a small village. But the predicament of Ramesh is that he is already in love with Ramola, a very well qualified, English speaking Doctor and he knows fully well that she will not be approved by his dad. So Ramesh, Ramola and Lalaji concoct a plot, making Ramola masquerade as a naive, non-English speaking village belle, with hilarious and unpredictable results.Alaap Widowed advocate Triloki Prasad lives a wealthy lifestyle in a small town in India with two sons, advocate Ashok - who is married to Geeta and Alok - who has yet to settle down in their law firm. Alok is fond of music and does enroll in classes run by Pandit Jamuna Prasad. On his return, his father asks him to accompany Ashok to their law firm and start learning to practice, which he agrees to do. Then one day Triloki finds out that Alok has not been at the firm but is instead spending time in the local slums with a former courtesan named Sarju Bai Banaraswali. He cautions Alok about this, but Alok continues to visit Sarju Bai. When Mr. Gupta approaches Triloki about taking possession and demolishing the slum area, Triloki readily agrees and with his expertise manages to sway the Court's decision in Gupta's favour. As a result, Sarju Bai and others are rendered homeless. With the fee he receives from Gupta, he asks Alok to purchase a used car for himself. But Alok purchases a horse-carriage and decides to drive it himself to make a living. His enraged father asks him to leave the house. When Triloki finds out that Alok is doing well in his work, he decides to hire motor coaches to transport people at a much cheaper price, thus cutting off Alok's earnings and perhaps forcing him to reconsider his decision, apologize and return home to his father. The question remains, will these actions force Alok to return home or will the misunderstandings between father and son continue indefinitely.

One DVD is not working (out of 11)... So for me that's worth a 1 star only. All DVD should be well working.
