Tonareli Violin Oblong Fiberglass Case- Red Graphite Special Edition VNFO 1018 4/4

While I haven't traveled with this case yet, it seems so far to be a tight seal, sturdily attached hardware, latches that stay closed. I like that there is enough room for strings and shoulder rest without squeezing violin. The pocket is a disappointment but I'm replacing with a better bag and using my own Velcro.

The case actually has a lot of strong velcro in it for moving around certain aspects to better suit your violin. Not going to lie, I was lightly confused when attaching the backpack straps, but that's my own fault. Honestly I was surprised it was actually smaller than expected. It is thinner than I felt it was in pictures (again this could be my own thoughts) but it's so perfect for my violin and 4 bows. It also has a removable case that can velcro inside to hold rosin, extra strings, and so on. One last thing is the new-shoe smell. The case has an EXTREMELY strong "I-just-stuck-my-head-in-a-box-of-new-shoes" sort of smell. I personally enjoy that, but if you do not, I recommend airing out the case for a bit. Definitely wouldn't recommend using chemical sprays for smells as it could damage the wood of the violin when you put it in the case.

I bought this case to take on my flights to Iquitos Peru. It is light and okwas easy to stow overhead. Also easy to carry through airports because it can be worn like a back pack. I also like that it seals which helped with the heat, weather changes and sometimes wet conditions. It also was easy to bring on the boats where it stayed on the floor and did get a little wet.as I went down the rivers to villages in the Amazon. For the money I like it. It did get scratched a little but my fiddle remained protected.
