Thrive Aquatics Phosphate Remover Refill, 20.3-Ounce

This product is poison, it contains Lanthanum Chloride and will kill your fish. I dosed at 1/2 the recommended amount IN MY 200 GALLON REEF SYSTEM and wiped out several expensive fish, (tangs, anthias, wrasses) by using this JUNK ONE TIME. THEY DIE WITHIN 2 HOURS EVEN THOUGH I TRIED TO SAVE THEM WITH A MAJOR WATER CHANGE. It should be banned. I USED THIS PRODUCT AT 1/2 RECOMMENDED DOSE ON A 200 GALLON REEF AQUARIUM AND WITHIN 2 HOURS LOST HALF MY FISH. 6 FISH TOTAL. PRODUCT CONTAINS LANTHANUM WHICH IS ESSENTIALLY A POISON. LOOK IT UP ONLINE. LOOK AT REEF BLOGS ON LINE, MANY HAD THE SAME FATE. IT IS NOT "THRIVE" BUT SHOULD BE RE-NAMED"WILL NOT SURVIVE". sHOULD BE TAKEN OFF MARKET.

It is true. Lost my yellow tang within hours.

DO NOT USE this product. It has been proven to deplete the tank of oxygen thus killing off livestock. There are many safer ways to remove phosphates. I dosed this and immediately saw fish in distress with them at the top of the tank and gasping for air. Have friends who lost whole tanks dosing recommended levels of this stuff.

I used this product as per it's label and I have three dead fish to show for it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS EVER!! I lost $300 and some really cool fish :(
