Performance HB453B.585 HPS 5.0 Street Brake Pads

I was unhappy with the stock front pads because they squeaked constantly when coming to a slow stop. Instead of enjoying my otherwise awesome Civic Type-R, I found myself feeling irritated as I drove around town. Perhaps the squeaky track pads don't bother some people, but I was not able to accept it.The good news? I had these pads (Hawk HB453B.585) installed and all the noise is gone! Additionally, there seems to be less initial dust than the stock pads had and I haven't been able to discern any downgrade in braking ability.Note: Amazon claims these pads don't fit a 2018 Civic Type-R but that is incorrect. They fit fine for the front brakes and are a great alternative to the stock pads.

Used on EVO X '15 (Mitsubishi Evolution 2015). I love these pads for 4 reasons:1. They eliminated the OEM Brembo pad squeal. My brakes are completely quiet now. Now everyone doesn't stare at me when I come to a stop.2. They generated SIGNIFICANTLY less brake dust that the OEM brake pads. My word, seriously, I can't say enough about how much less brake dust there is compared to OEM.3. I brake with confidence. These baby's have force behind them. They inspire confidence when my foot touches the brake pedal.4. They were easy to install and came with instructions. I've never changed brake pads in my life before these ones, and all you really need besides normal tools is a good "Roll Pin Punch." (Look up cheap sets on amazon).Definitely will be going with Hawk pads again, couldn't be happier.

Installed on my daily driven 2006 Mitsubishi Evoulution IX MR. Great bite, barely any break in needed, and best of all, CLEAN!! Little to no brake dust and super long lasting. Good for anyone with light colored wheels. These will forever be my go-to brake pads HAWK PADS For the win!!!

These pads have very nice linear travel with a decent bite, 7/10? These seem to have almost NO brake dust as well as a slow wear characteristic. The one thing though is these pads are NOISY AS HELL, it gave a pretty good squeal for the first 500 miles then it reduced to a minor squeak around 15-30mph braking. It continues to be noisy 2500 miles later.This is paired with stoptech DBA-4000 rotors brand new cleaned properly and bled brakes, definitely confirmed squeal from pads. I would recommend these for autoX or sporting but I’ll never buy them for a commuter again.

I had EBC Yellow Stuff pads and after 3 hot laps on track they started shuddering so bad I had to pit. After swapping out to these the brake squeal went away and the feel is much much better. I have yet to try them on a track but have heard great things about them. I also don't notice brake dust either.

...to complain about, and everything to love with these brake pads. I'm running these on the front (Brembo caliper) for street on my 2013 Roush RS3 Mustang, with 565hp. My rotors are R1 Concepts eLine drilled and slotted, and the combo is great for street performance. Those rotors are a bit of a budget pick, but so far they haven't let me down, even on the track. I do run Hawk track-only pads for that, though.Hawk always makes fantastic brake pads and these are no exception. After the bedding procedure there were a few miles of low speed breaking squeal, but since then, everything has been perfect.My only tiny nitpick is I wish Hawk would include maybe 25% more assembly grease in the box.

Installed on a 2013 Genesis Coupe with Brembos. Slid in much easier than EBC pads I had used beforehand. The shims were also included on these pads already which is a plus. My previous pads also had a squeal that never went away even though I put Disc Brake Quiet on them. I put Disc Brake Quiet on these pads as well and they have been perfectly quiet right from the start.

They are everything they said they are .......love them
