We just rescued a pup 2 months ago and his hair is pretty short so I decided to purchase a dog jacket for the first time in my life. I chose this one mainly because of the zippered area on top that will allow me to access his harness clip for walks. I love the softness of the inside. My pup is around 55 pounds and he measured to need either the XL or XXL so I went with the XXL for extra length. It just fits perfectly across his neck/chest, but the part under his belly is pretty loose. Might end up getting urine on it, we shall see. He's an athletic fit so broader chest and slimmer in the abdomen. The length *almost* reaches his tail, but not quite. I would've preferred several snaps at various spots vs the velcro, but we'll see how this holds up. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and especially the price. I just wish I could adjust more at the waist and would be nice if covered all the way to his tail, but it's close enough to keep him mostly dry.For reference in case it helps anyone else, he measured 17" neck, 28" chest, 23" length. He's an Appenzeller Sennenhund/Swiss Mountain Dog mix.

This coat actually works with a harness. It features a zipper hole a few inches long that runs along the dog's spine, enabling the leash to come through the hole just behind the shoulder blades. Most dog coats do not have this feature and thereby do not allow for the use of a harness like mine to walk the dog. It's amazing how many coats are displayed when you search for dog coat with harness hole that actually don't work with a harness and instead require the dog's leash to be hooked near the collar area. This one actually works with a harness.

It finally rained after I ordered this coat in blue for my 45 lb. rescue dog. It fit perfectly, looked great, and worked to repel the rain! For me one of the best features was the zip up opening for the halter connection for the leash. Just perfect in all ways. And a great price! You'll be happy with this rain jacket for your furry child.

Was a fantastic jacket for the 5 uses I got out of it. I even bought two jackets for each of my dogs. The seem where the strape goes under the abdomen just pulled out. No tension or anything. I never even washed the jacket. Now I have to find a new one right as it's starting to get cold.

Looks good.. Seems like it will be durable and... he likes it! 🙂

We got a XXL for our border collie and while it fits easily around his neck and waist, the coat only covers 2/3 of his back.

Seller was very patient as we figured out what size to order. We find the raincoats to be excellent. The reflective strips make the dogs stand out like a school bus at night! Great product Thank you.
