What’s included in the box?? Is this for a new printer or refurbished?

The one I purchased includes everything you need. Working beautifully. Just make sure you use the starter ink cartridges. I didn't and it wouldn't recognize the HP cartridges that I purchased to make sure I had enough. They can be used after the starter cartridges are empty the seller told me. Enjoy it.

Do you have to buy color ink if I’m not going use it

Left the empty color cartridges in the printer and only purchased and installed black ink. It printed fine.

Printer, power cord, ink cartridges AND the best booklet on how to set up the device I have ever seen. Nothing is left to chance and nothing is left out. Log on and it pretty much does it all for you.
