cool concept, poorly executed.
Considering the price of the mouse pad, it had poor quality as expected. However, I did not expect one side to not work at all.There doesn't seem to be anything special about the surface finish of the control side, to make it "control" other than the fact that it is rough finish plastic.What was most dissapointing about it was that the "speed" side did not work at all for my Razer Deathadder 3.5G.I believe the black reflective surface does not work for optical mouse. The surface is essentially smooth finished plastic with possible "shiny coating" for low friction. However, I believe such finish create "mirror-effect" and cause the optical mouse to be "incompatible".

I gave it 5 Stars because it makes the mouse perform as it should, has good shape, is a hard mouse pad which I like, it gives the option of 2 textures, I personally prefer the control side.Like:Hard surface, dual-sided, Nice Shape, stays clean and is easy to clean.Dislike:Is a 2 pieces mouse pad, so it can be weird for travelling, or when the mesh part is sticking out a bit.I got 2 pads, 1 at home and 1 at the office.Tested with G400, G400+, Recon Gaming Mouse, all worked well in both surfaces.
