Hi sir, thank you for your point out. It's not a real-time tracking device. In order to reduce pigeon’s burden, we developed smaller and lighter GPS tracker ring and use GPS+ Glonass to record the position. It can only read after pigeon came back. At present the technology do not allow to make the real time GPS ring because the real time GPS ring need a large capacity battery and the GPS ring will become bigger. For pigeon, it's a big burden. We are keeping research and development in real-time device. Progress is impossible without change. Therefore, if we make the real-time device, the the weight may become 6~7g, the volume may be 30% larger, and the power is less than 10 hours. Another important thing is that we are still confirming is whether GSM Electromagnetic waves exert an influence on pigeons? Due to GSM Electromagnetic waves exert an influence on human, which has been controversial. You can see a lot of articles about "Electromagnetic Wave Effect on Human Health". However, the weight of the pigeon is less than 1/100 of the human body, that's why we are evaluating this issue. The most important thing is the GPS tracking ring device is that we considered to have less impact on pigeon flight currently. Whether it is the influence of volume, weight or electromagnetic waves, we don't want to affect the real record after wearing our products. We hope to keep the true record of the pigeon flight. Watch out for additional charges

I purchased one of these some months ago only to recieve an additional import duty and VAT bill of £70 today demanding immediate payment. Not very impressed with that!

Awesome system takes a little bit of patience for the non-tech savy

If you are looking to discover the actual flight track of your racers, this system gives you an incredible amount of data. These GPS rings plot the speed, altitude and distance traveled from a set start time. The ring is retrieved and the data downloaded to plot the flight path. The system took some trial and error on my part due to my lack of computer expertise. This system does not provide real-time GPS data. Training rings are provided to acclimate the birds to wearing the rings, which snap over (around and on top of) a standard AU type band.
