IdeaSoft Complete Bible Suite

Bought this software ten years ago from an Office Depot for 9.99 cents and after installing it I found out it was PRICELESS TO HAVE AS A STUDY TOOL and could not believe that so much and so many tools were on it for this price especially after seeing church members pay over $1000.00 a pop for something called Logos that came in multiple cd's that was ten times harder to use than this $9.99 cd I picked up at OD. I loaned it out to a friend and you know the rest was history. I never got it back. I am so happy to have another cd of this product to dig deeper into the Word of God. If your looking for an outstanding biblical study resource this one is it and its simple to use. A must have for believers everywhere and at the price it sells for everyone can afford it.

Purchase this for my dad. My dad does not have computer savvy. He was able to navigate the software. He uses it daily.

Oh! My God. It has the Scofield and Matthew Henry Commentaries. It is easy to learn. Thanks, I should be a Bible Pro in No Time.

The PowerBible CD is much better and is actually cheaper since they give you two copies for the same price. In terms of the lower-end programs, the PowerBible is the best. I am blessed to also have PC Study Bible, but this is harder to use and not as friendly as either of these.

What I like most about the program is that if you want to look up the definition for a Hebrew or Greek word, all you have to do is type in the Strong's number. A great help if you are reading an interlinear Bible keyed to Strong's numbers

I bought this for my Dad who is a lay preacher. He delivers sermons regularly and is very keen on basing them on bible teaching and then making a connection with everyday life. My Dad doesn't really use computers but has just started to get more involed by using e-mail. At first, the main page is overwhelming because there is so much going on and I helped out by explaining what each section on the screen did and also downloaded the manual from the disc and put it on a desktop shortcut. This helped tremendously and I encouraged Dad to read sections of the manual so he could understand the full scope of the software capability. Once he started using it my Dad quickly got used to it and is using it with confidence. It is so easy to search under any keyword be it a theme (peace, promises, miracle, children etc) name or place and to search for any passage in the bible using a number of standard translations. Once you find a passage of interest there are several possible routes to expand on the detail. Links to other verses with common themes or words are shown and links to several commentaries are also shown. Consequently, the amount of relevant information available is astounding. There are maps and images in the software and I found it easiest to download them onto the hard disk because the clipart images are then available to all MS Office software too. Dad is so impressed with this that he has shown it to everyone else he knows who might be interested. Brilliant software, incredible value for money and easy to use once you read the manual.

The SwordSearcher Complete Bible Suite is an excellent piece of software for anyone who studies the bible. It is especially useful if one is writing exhortations or religious lectures. I thoroughly recommend it.
