All Purpose Shampoo Bar Fresh Cut Grass

The smell is great, and its great on my dreadlocks and what's amazing about this product is I was able to use this on my 1 year old sons hair! its all natural!

I bought this for my son to use on his dreads, he loves it and the fragrance. He does not shampo his dreads but every other day, but he showers every day and really appreciates this type of soap and it's a bar not a shower gel. I will buy from you again. Thank you.

I ordered fresh cut grass and I didn't get fresh cut grass I got a different scent so I mailed it back and expect to be re embursted for my return costs!

I really love the smell of this, but it only has that wonderful grass scent when you smell the bar. Once you wash your hands, the scent is almost non-existent.

I have very Scandinavian hair type, and I've been dreading for half a year now, give or take a few months, using primarily the neglect method, with some back combed and twist & rip (you know, to see the difference in development). My hair is nothing close to completely locked yet, but I started out long and do definitely have a good few completely dreaded portions that reach below my shoulders or touch my back..This soap is a great shampoo (I have not used it on anything but my dreads). For a couple years I've been using nothing but Dr. Bronner's for everything in the bathroom and otherwise, and I love love love the brand, I'm a dedicated Bronner's consumer, but I've heard about Knotty Boy for years, and when I saw the scent "Tahitian Vanilla" I was sold, I had to try it.I ordered a bar on Prime, it came super fast, and the smell filled the whole box it came in even through the plastic packaging, and even the book that I ordered with it smelled like it coming out of the box! It's a very, very sweet smell. I saw another reviewer call it something like "Grandma's cookies" because it smells so sweet, and he's not wrong, a little harsh on it maybe, but I definitely don't think it's a scent for the menfolk so it's not like he's out of line with his opinion. My husband loves everything vanilla, it's like his thing, and even he wasn't very fond of the smell of this soap either. He actually thinks it smells kinda like plastic, and although I know what he means, I think it has to do with the association of the über sweet smell (how that works, I dunno, maybe we're both just crazy).As a wash, it's nice and sudsy, the smells stays with you the whole day you use it (but not a whole lot longer than that), it definitely gets everything nice and clean, and I think it actually may be easier to wash out the unwanted excessive oiliness that can happen with Bronner's and dreads in general (Oil is healthy! Excessive oil, not so much). I feel like it has helped my hair lock better than the Bronner's, but I wonder if that is because it maybe dries my hair out more than Dr. B's, or if maybe it's just coming with time and maturation. My hair seems slightly drier since I started dreading it, but thats fairly expected when you stop conditioning but continue washing. It's nothing horrible, but I'm not sure if the Knotty Boy has made it better or worse or changed anything at all, so I'm not going to give it any negative accusations in that direction. I've used it several times now and the size of the bar has not noticeably changed, it's nice and super dense, I'm glad I bought a soap box for it, I think it's going to last a good long while haha.

When i purchased this i thought it would smell like vanilla and girly but it just smells like grandmas and gingerbread. I also used it and it left a film on my skin and made me break out. :(bummer.I do not recommend this at all, unless you like smelling like a nursing home hah

waxy for sure. does the trick in a pinch, like if i need to wash my hair and don't have time to mix my own shampoo. i was looking for a quicker way to wash my dreads, this shampoo bar leaves a sticky mess that doesn't rinse out after thorough rinsing. i guess my review is that it is better than nothing, but wouldn't recommend for repeated use.

we love knotty boy and this soap is the best we've ever used for our dreads. love it and can't recommend enough. and we love their business practice and goals as well.

This shampoo bar is amazing! I really do love it! Makes your dreads feel sooo clean!! Defffo going to by more of these! This company is brilliant i bought there beads too! And they sent me free sticker and beads with my order. ! Very happy customer ☺

(same base review as the gorgeous Sandalwood bar, but this vanilla is my new favourite)Firstly I think I should mention that I don't have dreads. What I do have is uncontrollable, horribly soft curly hair that tends to grow vertically (I generally hate it most days). While looking for a new shampoo made from natural ingredients I stumbled across this, took a chance (since I'm dreadless) and have never looked back. I really couldn't recommend this product highly enough.I've used solid shampoo before and have always liked that you can just take one bar into the shower, use it as a soap and smell of just the one scent without faffing about with multiple bottles. In this respect it is very much like Lush solid shampoo (which I used loyally for umpteen years), but that is where the comparison begins and ends. The scent lasts forever (literally for the life of the bar); it creates a lovely, dense lather; it lasts for ages; it doesn't dry out my sensitive skin; it cleans my hair to a squeak with no effort at all and I've actually been able to make my hair behave! Without conditioner! Miracle of miracles! So, sorry Lush, but it's Knotty Boy for me from here on out.

Smells nice but allegedly has chemicals they don't tell you about so when I gave it to somebody as a gift they said thanks but they wouldn't use it :/
