Very delicious and makes dishes taste much better. It's very expensive (to me at least) but I use it sparingly. It's effect on the meal is equivalent to using fresh garlic and ginger vs. powdered (which would be regular soy sauce). I'm happy I bought it.

If you grew up with shoyu, this is THE BEST. I don't know if non Japanese people would appreciate it or not. We love it. It makes the BEST Fried rice and any dish that calls for shoyu. It is even good on eggs or when mixed with a high quality European unsalted butter as a sauce for rice. This shoyu, when mixed with the highest quality sake and mirin, gives the familiar Japanese taste but at a higher level of richness and umami. As far as we are concerned, this is the best. We will use this shoyu instead of salt in soups or salad dressings. It really is the best.

Really an excellent product. A depth of flavor that does not exist in your run of the mill soy sauce. Great addition to your cooking Arsenal. In the overall scheme of things, cost is just fine. Love the history and supporting this (really) old world tradition.

After watching a clip on how traditional Soy Sauce is made I went looking for some made the traditional way. This Soy Sauce did not disappoint. The flavor was much better than any of the premium Soy Sauces brewed the new way. It is really good.

I compared 4 high-end soy sauces. This was the second best, but as expensive as the best one. I think this is the one featured in the TV series "Hairy Bikers' Asian Adventure." I would recommend the 4-year-old above this one. I tested this for radioactivity. It tested the same as background radiation. The bite of this is less than the organic, naturally brewed soy sauces, but not much less. For that reason, I would either go with the organic because it is so much cheaper or with the four-year-old for the smoother, mellower taste.

Sublime..adds nuance to just about any vegetable or tofu dish. No going back to any other soy sauce products. Amazing.

Fantastic substance. Every food I have eaten it with has had better flavor. The only drawback besides the price, is that it has ruined all other soy brews for my palate.

This is the best soy sauce I have ever tasted. I order a large bottle, and it lasts for a year. Well worth the extra money. I will not purchase any other brand of soy sauce.
