Original Dryer

I was skeptical. When I removed the item from the box, I noticed that it was very light. Then, after plugging it in, I found there is no indicator light, and noted that it has no on/off switch. In fact, it seemed likely that it wasn't doing anything at all! But after reading the fluorescent pink slip of paper included in the box, which explained that the unit has no fan and operates silently, I continued giving it a first use. Slipping my wet hiking boots onto the drying stands, I waited ten minutes, and still nothing seemed to be happening. So, following the instructions, I left it for eight hours and checked again. My boots were dry and slightly warm inside. It worked! Things to note: It does NOT dry quickly, but it definitely dries wet boots before you need them the next day. It works silently, with no indicator light, so you have to trust it. It has no fan; it moves air by convection. Those tall towers function like chimneys, creating a column of rising warm air that flows gently all the way to the toes of the boots/shoes. You can't detect the airflow, but by the time your boots are dry, you will feel they are indeed slightly warm.

I absolutely love this shoe dryer! It’s easy to use and does a great job drying wet shoes, boots, and cleats. It’s especially helpful during rainy and snowy weather when shoes get soaked. It helps keep everything dry and fresh without worrying about damaging them. It’s simple, quiet, and works exactly as expected. A must-have for anyone with kids who play sports! I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it!

I one hundred percent purchased this unit because it's Made in the USA. Works GREAT on drying my boots. Completely removed any trace of musty odor in one night, and nothing like pre-warmed boots on a cold morning. There is no fan or perceived movement of air. It works completely by slight warming and moving air that way. It comes with no on/off switch, so the only control is whether it's plugged in or not. I spliced in a $4 lamp rocker switch and it works great. Only complaint is the company should already do this. Support USA made. AMAZON it should be mandatory to include the country of origin for ALL products. It matters to a lot of folks.

Versatile can be used for all kinds of shoes boots and winter gear. Sturdy and easy to use. Can be moved and plugged in wherever you need it. Dries great.

I've ruined shoes and boots in the past by repeatedly getting them wet inside and out and not being able to dry them effectively. Having the inside of footwear be damp for extended periods of time all but guarantees that they'll eventually become smelly and probably unhealthy to wear. The PEET boot drier is an amazingly simple but effective device. When I first unpacked it, it was so lightweight and simple that I thought, "Gee I could've made one of these myself". It comes with a plastic base, two sections of extension pipe and two angled sections that the footwear hangs on that all slide together. Once assembled, it all stays together well and is stable even with heavier boots on it. When you plug this in, prepare to be initially underwhelmed. I'm docking a star because there is no power switch or power indicator light and, when you plug it in, you won't hear, feel, or see anything to suggest that it's on. Give it some time, though, and it does indeed produce a gentle heat that dries footwear, prevents or kills damp-loving bacteria and has your boots or shoes nicely warmed up for the next time you want to use them. The heat never becomes hot, only warm, so drying footwear is going to best done when you can spare the shoes or boots for at least 8-12 hours. The good part about the low heat is that there is no chance you're going to overdry or damage the footwear. Airflow is created by convection from the low-wattage heating source in the base, so this unit is completely silent and has no moving parts to wear out. Could you make one yourself? Sure, but it's easier to get this one. PEET also sells an attachment to dry gloves that's available here on Amazon and I plan to try that out soon.

I used the product for a couple of weeks before writing this review. I wanted to test it under worse case scenario situations (for the type of use I need it for). My main application is for drying cycling and running shoes. I live in the Houston area, it is super humid and often running or cycling outdoors causes shoes to get completely soaked. In addition, I do multi hour indoor cycling which also results in completely wet shoes by the end of the session. (You can hear your foot slashing in the shoe). This results into your shoes essentially never completely drying from session to session ( even when waiting 2-3 days ). This in turn results in 3 issues: 1) seriously stinky shoes 2) gross feeling every time you wear the shoes due to the moisture 3) shoe performance issues such as loss of structural stiffness etc. this product addresses this issues to 90%+. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it works. It is completely silent. As others have mentioned you plug it in and nothing really happens... no noise whatsoever. It slowly heats up and it has a very gentle flow that you cannot even feel. For me that’s a huge advantage because it is very gentle with the shoes ( leather or other materials) . As advertised this will not dry shoes in record time... that’s not how it is designed to work. But if you leave the shoes overnight then it will gently warm them up, and eventually completely dry them in a few hrs(4-5 hrs) then after that the extra time helps remove any scents from the shoes... I was pleasantly surprised as to how effective that was. As I mentioned I have already used it in a few occasions with cycling and running shoes following really “wet” conditions and the results were solid. It is a game changer for maintaining dry , scent free shoes that are ready to perform every day. The product is designed to stay plugged 24/7. You will not know is there . I am not sure if it would work with industrial type heavy leather boots that are wet but it works perfect for my need and for that I highly recommend the product.

I was skeptical at first. It has no blower fan, so can it really work that well? Yes, it works quite well. It has heating coils in the bottom. As the air is heated it rises up through and out of your shoes. Unheated air comes in, heated air rises and it just keeps repeating. Absolutely silently doing it's job. I put my shoes in the laundry and when done put them on the PEET. No more banging around in the dryer for my shoes.

I love it, makes my boots dry over night and ready for work the next morning. I keep it plugged in at all times. I have no cons about this product, it's absolutely amazing. If you sweat alot or get your boots wet at work this is for you. I also use it for my kayak shoes for when I go fishing. It dries them out over night and keeps my footwear smelling good with no damp mildew smell. I highly recommend.

Super happy with this purchase. They dry out boots well and for easy on and off we plugged it to an Alexa operated outlet to make easy to turn on and off.

Ya los probé después de que mis botas de trabajo se mojaran en la lluvia y me los dejó secos entre cuatro o cinco horas. Medí su consumo, el cual no menciona ni en el empaque ni en el folleto, consume poco mas de 40 W. Lo único que tal vez tenga en contra es que no tiene ni siquiera un LED para indicar que está funcionando, al conectarlo no se escucha nada y te debes de acordar de desconectarlo una vez que tus zapatos están secos.

Used this product once after purchase and it stopped working. Contacted the seller ‘Best Picks Emporium’ who said despite the product being only 5 months old, they didn’t offer a warranty. Avoid this company at all cost as I have just wasted £90

The unit Smoked and burned out at first plug in. The seller did contact me to advise that I would need an American power adapter which I did purchase and use. The fan in the unit did not even start but began to smoke profusely. I have not heard back from the seller since advising them of the fault. A total waste of more than $2220.00! Very disappointed as this was a birthday gift for my son!

I am on my second Peet single dryer. My housekeeper put some riding boots on the first one and it melted so we bought a new one. I used it for the first time yesterday and successfully dried a pair of rugby boots on it. I then put my elder son's rugby boots on in exactly the same way and when i came back to it about an hour later, the tall supports were showing signs of melting again. These were rugby boots, so not long and being acutely aware of the first machine melting, i was very careful how i put the boots onto the dryer. in fact i put them on exactly the same way as the first set earlier that day so i am at a loss as to why this happened again? It certainly doesnt seem fit for purpose and in any event my second peet dryer is now irreparably broken! I dont like the fact there is no timer on the machine given its tendency to melt as it could potentially set the house on fire!
