Cast Your favorite show on the wall.
My projector's inbuilt Mira cast functionality is not working good, so happened me to go for portable Miracast. It also can be used to plug into hotel TV's if you are bored with their regular channel when you are on vacation. It came in little nice pack. Easy to setup and download an app on your phone, once the app discover the device, thats it, it remembers on your next connect to casts easily.

It's what I wanted easy to use but it gets hot!
I like it's easy to use. I don't like how short the cord is but easy solutions for that. Most importantly to know is it gets way too hot way too quickly.

Liked it
I bought it for my dad, because he would be very inconvenient to watch a movie with his phone. Now he can connect to the TV and the picture is clear and easy to install.

Displeased item doesn’t work for me
Don’t like this product.., connected to my tv but no picture comes up just sound. Try to connect to my router kept booting me off the network. Scan the bar code and still reconnecting was a problem.

Limited in the apps it will project, and not good for 4K, but nice for 1080P.
I have both Amazon Prime, and Netflix, and it doesn't work with those, but I can project other apps and game screens which is cool. 4K is a little bit of a stretch at 2.4G. If it supported 5G there might have been a chance if the network is running smoothly, but 2.4G. Is generally too slow. Occasionally, it will work for a limited time if you get consistently a high level bandwidth signal, it might work, but It did not work well for me and my 4K LG TV. Going to 1080P worked much better. This is basically the same issue I have using a streaming device. If I want to see real 4K, most of the time it comes from Blueray devices with a direct feed. To get it with a streaming service the best way is to go directly wired to the router. This device is WiFi only so it's not capable. Of that, but for a laptop to big screen devices it's cheap, and 1080 P is not bad. I bought a device 8 years ago, but it was very limited, and cost four times as much, so I can recommend this if you can live with 1080 P.

It doesn't work
Obviously installation was easy, just plug it in to hdmi, and usb power, but that is where it ends. First you connect to IT's wifi SSID open a browser enter its fixed IP address in the url box pick a bunch of setting that there are no instructions for, and no useful online help, then at last it shows up in you list of devices toscreen share to, but... It SAYS it is connected, but alas nothing changes on the TV. still just the basic setup screen. Did I mention horrible support, well none really.

Things you should know
I bought this because i wanted to hook up an external projector and play movies from my phone for an outdoor "drive-in" experience in my back yard. The stick works great at mirroring my phone. BUT it will not capture Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix or Amazon prime movies. Copyright issue or something i guess.
