I bought this from a lighting deal at a reduced price and later discovered that it was being sold at amazon.com for the same price with no mention of MRP! The manual had little information and did not tell about the installation. Did all the cable only to find that the suction cup would not hold to the screen despite several attempts and it the suction holder quality appeared cheap. Being frustrated I decided to return the product.

I bought this on a lightening deal for £37.99, apparently reduced from (£469-00, then £199, as if), but thought the price was reasonable. A bit later in the evening I looked at the reviews and noticed all 4 were not verified purchasers. "Oh bugger, I've been done" was my next thought. That thought remained right up until I tested it. I was pleasantly surprised, I put a memory card in (Standard Micro SD card, 32GB which I already had), Plugged in the power cable and plugged it in the 12v power socket in my car (cigarette lighter outlet). The screen came on and I could see my garage doors, picture quality is ok (better than I expected, but not HD). I drove round the block and it recorded no problem. I then played back the video on the camera and it played back fine. I also put the memory card in an adaptor to see the quality on the computer, and again the quality is fine, again not HD (I'm no expert with these things, so don't really know what quality to expect).It records videos in sections, and on a short journey to work it recorded the whole journey in 4-3 minute videos of about 330mb each in AVI format, but the last one I can't play back (says file is corrupted). So will test again to see if its a one off or something more permanent, then update the review.

Looked good, instructions and reviews good. Not sure what the 3.7v battery does, it has been on charge 2 days and will not switch on.

I too purchased this as a lightning deal. It was SUPPOSED to be reduced from £469 - £199 and then to £37.99. Very disappointed with it, yes it does the job but it does not record in HD. Just watched the results via the PC of a trip to my local Tesco. My previous camera is far, far superior to this. I’m giving this one to my old man and I’ll go back to my much better old dash cam! Needless to say this item is now being sold on Amazon for £39.99!! I guess this lightning deal caught a lot of us out 😡

Very good camera

Please DO NOT BUY! Worked for 3 months only average picture quality. All of a sudden stopped working today morning. Poor quality! Rubbish!

Only just fitted this but it looks as though it is going to be very good. I am pleased with the look of it and the first recording I did is very good
